The Toyota RAV4 EV is an all-electric version of the popular RAV4 SUV produced by Toyota until 2014. Two generations of the EV model were sold in California, and to fleets elsewhere in the US, with a gap of almost ten years between them.
The first generation was leased from 1997 to 2003, and at the lessees' request, many units were sold after the vehicle was discontinued. A total of 1,484 were leased and/or sold in California to meet the state's mandate for zero-emissions vehicle. A small number were sold or leased in fleet sales in other states. As of mid-2012, there were almost 500 vehicles still in use in California. Production of the second generation EV was limited to 2,600 units during a three-year run, with sales limited to California beginning in 2012. Production ended in September 2014. A total of 2,489 units of the second generation model were sold in California through April 2015.Toyota worked together with Tesla Motors and Panasonic to develop the second generation RAV4 EV, and the electric SUV was released in the United States in September 2012. The US Environmental Protection Agency rated the second generation RAV4 EV with a range of 103 mi (166 km) and a combined fuel economy rating of 76 miles per gallon gasoline equivalent (3.1 L/100 km).
I have read the other threads on OBD2 scanners, but I am looking for something for a Mk1 ZS EV (2019). Can anyone recommend anything that will work with the 2019 MK 1 ZS EV? The only thing I want to do is check state of battery health to find out how much the battery has degraded since I have...
Thought I’d start a thread for anyone who’s ordered, or indeed is thinking of ordering, to ask some questions that some of the more experienced MGers or those just more in the know might be able to answer and help out those of us less in the know. I know you can now spec / order the car but the...
I bought a MG ZS EV in October 23. It was an ex demo with 270 miles on the clock registered in June 23. Picked the Car in Oct 23. Travelling to work in January 24, I had a complete system failure and had to be recovered as I couldn't drive anywhere. Went to the Dealership were I bought it to...
Hi all
The EVCC module in my 2023 ZS EV has a part number 11349836.
Could anyone kindly confirm that they have this EVCC module in their car and the VTL function works.
thanks
Hi all
I'm new to this forum. I've recently leased an MG ZS EV trophy connect long range in the UK. It's a 2023 model. I specifically wanted V2L for camping trips away.
Information on this is patchy at best and thankfully I found this forum. I've searched and there are lots of v2l related...
I bought a Zappi which arrived today and contacted my electrician to let him know we decided to go with that over a Wallbox. He said that he did some research and we will have to have a separate consumer unit added to drive the charger, due to the need for a surge protection device. Quoted an...
Hi All, just purchased 21' PHEV with 17k miles. Does anyone experience a high pitched whistling noise specifically from the EV motor / drive train? Appears to occur / noticeable when the EV motor is above 3000 rpm, the pedestrian noise warning has cut out at this point. It's noticeable but...
Much prefer to use the voice control rather than the touch screen.
However, I’ve found it a bit limited. Anyone else have the below issues on R40?
Does R46 or anything more recent fix them?
Climate
Can turn climate on and off and set a temperature, plus increase and decrease the fan speed (by...
I have a EO2 Mini charge point at home . For some reason it won't charge my MG4. Ppower who I got it from said its working fine.
It might be the AC to DC convertor. Does anyone have any problems with their charger? The cable works on all other chargers so can't be the cable.
Hey
So I have managed to get a hole in the side of a tyre which needs replacing. Car is only 16 months old so all other tyres are fine.
As I am only replacing one I want to get a match to the others.
Tyre markings say Michelin primacy 3st. I am looking at www.blackcircles.com and cannot see...
Have just seen this review
of a supposed 2024 'facelifted' ZS EV available for the Malaysian market. It appears new because of the changes to the look of the infotainment screen and is the sunroof also now back again? Just about to buy the no sunroof Trophy version, so should I cancel in the...
Picked up my MG4 X power this afternoon .. 100% worth every penny does have a slight vibration at 100 km/h but nothing i cant live with ..
I will keep my eyes peeled for the incoming fix from MG ..

Just had a Solaredge charger fitted. First charge for a trial worked but when disconnected the car then came up with a system fault and refused to power up. Disconnected the battery and the car then reset ok.
Until this is resolved would suggest caution about Solaredge chargers.
Just had my Ohme Home pro charger installed but it is on the side of the house that gets the full weather treatment. Can you purchase a cover/shield to help protect the plug from the worse of the Yorkshire weather.
It's just a theoretical question, is it doable? I know It might affect the warranty, and greatly reduce the range, but I'm just curious if anyone did something similar.
Hello again to everyone!
I'm researching charging points for a trip to Harrogate next week.
There's a Tesla charging station at Banbury which could come in useful, particularly on the return journey. An internet thread states that this Banbury charging station is one of the fifteen open to all...
Can someone explain what purpose the 12V has. I started the car and a yellow warning icon appeared on dash display. The car would not drive so I had to restart again and presumed I had not held the ignition button long enough. The car then started as normal but this yellow warning light has...
