On the way home from the shop the car start reporting lots of faults :(

Traction control, autohold, hill descent, hill hold, forward collision etc. all showing as fault and unavailable.

Giving the AA a call now, does the MG / AA recovery include loan cars or is it down to the dealer?

If you can try disconnecting the 12 volt battery for 10 minutes then reconnect that odds on what the AA will do but if that does not work they will take you to a dealer and I think it is the dealer will be the one to sort a loan car for you but not sure good luck

It'll be dependent on the dealer but I think as it will be a warranty fix I should think you're entitled

Yes, please keep us informed on developments.

And good luck

AA have arrived - Steering Control Module Failure. He's taken just taken it out for a little test drive to see how he thinks it drives.

Drove it up and down the road a couple of times and the faults have cleared. Including the Steering Control Module.

The MG tech guys from the AA said roll it backwards and forwards to see if that clears the fault, obviously needed a little more than that or a combination of a longer switched "off" and driving a little to clear the fault.

Basically the AA guy thinks it's a software issue.

Hi thank you for that this is a first for me do not recall anyone writing about that fault before so many thanks on behalf of the forum also it is Much appreciated by all I’m sure when the issue and the fix is reported back

Slight correction - official AA report -

"Patrol found the following fault code/s:System : ABS - HMA / Driving safety system ESP ESP 920 Status :C005128 - Steering angle sensor module. Error Message : Offset error. Error present.Drive car up the road which extinguished lights and the fault code"

Had some warning lights pop up for a few minutes. They're all controlled by the tablet. So just reset it by holding the home button.

This is a bit concerning, Did you feel any change in the steering? pulling either way or heavy or light? Or did you just get warning lights? AND one thing that didn't come up on the dash was steering.

Oh and thank you for your info.

anybody know how to stop the speed sign flashing on facelift ZS. on the mk1 used to push OK button on steering wheel, but not working on this one.

Is it me or is the national speed limit one set at 60 its always flashing on dual carriageways and motorways yet if only it would talk to sat nav as that gets it right
