Hello people of the MG ev forum! Please help me decide which of the two above colours to choose? I'm looking at the MG 4 SE long range.

Thank you and best wishes for 2023!

I ordered the grey, liking it’s subtle appearance, however, in order to avoid a lengthy wait, I was offered the red, which I took. In retrospect, I am glad I did. It much better suits the style and character of the car.

Interesting. Those two colours are my favourites, just find it so hard to choose between the two.

I've got a grey Trophy i also liked red but I think the black plastic trim doesn't stand out so much on the grey.
My thoughts too. Grey is quite subtle, possibly more stealth. I prefer to draw minimal attention to myself

From a practical point of view, grey wouldn’t show up the dirt as much as the red. Saying that, the test car I drove was a snazzy red and I think if I hadn’t ordered the white my next choice would be red.

grey for sure
Looks much cooler when MG removed.
Not my car, I got the photo from Facebook.

Red cars are supposed to be involved in the fewest accidents-allegedly!
People are saying the same as you. However I think you lose the nice rear red lights to colour definition with the red as it all blends together. Nice decision to have to make though!

I really wanted to order Red having dribbled over one in the showroom, I think the back accents at the bottom of the door and elsewhere contrast nicely with the red whereas the grey can look simply all black or grey in all but sunlight.
Unfortunately, logic made me go for white as we are very rural on the Devon / Cornwall border and a lot of time will be down narrow country lanes with overhanging brambles and as almost all primers are white / light grey I could see dark colours for us attracting lots of lines down the sides. Also white was £5/600 cheaper, given the choice though I'd go red.

Best of luck deciding.

Indeed. Personally I like red, but I take your point regarding the blending scenario. You have to admit with the poor visibility this time of year grey is going to blend in with with the road. The best solution is to have two cars and swap them between winter and summer 🤣🤣
