My Android app updated this morning but still showing 2.0.2 version. However, I was previously getting cold air on screen defrost but today the frost was cleared as warm air now blowing. Hooray👴

Issue with charge % talked about on other forums. I have the issue it show Fuel tank and 0%. :-(

I am just going to wait and hope they fix it rather than mess around with the app.

Have you tried clearing your cache and logging out and back in ? I.

The app is working perfectly now .

What you have said makes no sense whatsoever. The app has had bug fixes . Why would you not update the app ?

I think you misunderstood or I was not clear. :)

I have updated to the latest version and now have the fuel 0% showing.

What I meant was last time the update stopped it working I spent ages doing everyone like delete the app logging out etc. And ended up making it worse. This time i am going to just wait until the app starts working or they roll out a fix :)

Erm. Because the last update trashed the system and it stopped working? Because we’re not sheep and ‘new’ isn’t always better, especially with MG? Because “bugs fixed” always introduces different and sometimes worse bugs? Because it’s worth waiting to see?

But you go ahead as instructed by MG if you wish.

Anyone with this issue tried unbinding the car? And did it fix it?

I am reluctant to try it but not having the charge status is making my reliance on public charging more difficult.

Unbinding the car is not the way to go !.
Doing this will require the intervention from MG CS and will require suppling documents off ownership etc.
They were able to unbind and bind again with no issues.

I think CS is only needed if the car was linked to someone else eg like a secondhand car.

That said I was not going to unbind the car just curious if someone else had tried it :)

Seeing people saying it was still working on the Android App I decided to install it on an old tablet I have.

Is working fine on Android 202. So at least for now when I am at home using the public chargers I can see the progress. (Flat - Cannot have a home charger)

Not ideal but at least gets me out of a hole for now.

My App auto updated this morning on Apple. Annoyingly like others have said I can no longer remotely turn the charging on and off. The fuel tank just shows 0% and no longer interacts when you press it.

I've also noticed that the app has changed the model of my car to an MG5 electric, rather than a marvel something or other, and that the driving statistic have also annoyingly gone from the bottom of the home screen.

(App version 2.0.3)

I've fiddled a bit more with the updated app (bear in mind that I've had the car less than 2 weeks, so don't have much history to work with) and personally what was daft has got dafter.

(The caveat here is that I am using the granny charger so my car is still on charge until the moment I set of to work in the morning. Once my 7KW charger is installed tomorrow, my situation should improve.)

Before update 2.0.3 on Iphone, if I wanted to turn the heating on remotely I would need to stop the charge before it would allow me to turn the heat on. This always seem counter intuitive as surely I want it to draw power from the mains to heat the car and not deplete the battery. However my non scientific investigation did look like once the heating was turned on, it did indeed still draw power from the mains, just didn't really indicate it.

Now with the update, I can no longer start or stop a charge from the app. Therefore I need to be in the car to do this. So remotely turning the heating on is now impossible. Nor can I see what the charge rate is, the estimated time that the car will reach the pre-set charge level, or set the schedule, or adjust the charging period.

The only saving grace is that the available miles is still indicated in the app, and by refreshing the home screen, I can see this going up and know that the car is still charging.

I just do not get how the app developer thought this was an improvement to their app.
