Interesting that the age range 41-50 is winning the poll spectacularly. Clearly the MG4 provides the wheels for a midlife crisis :D
And 61-70 is second as we are spending our pension pot....and re-living our misspent youth only this time the car will actually go fast without revving the šŸ’© out of it šŸ¤£

Am curious about how old owner drivers of the MG4 are. Its sporty looks and speed should appeal to boy/girl racers but I get a feeling that many forum contributors are in their 60s. Do vote. Thank you
Young people can no longer get or afford the insurance.

I'm on my third mid life crisis. (I started early)
I never stopped after starting mine in my early thirties.

At 65 Im still a boy racer at heart! Have always liked cars with sporty looks etc. Although had some not so sporty ones as well, a rust bucket of a Renault 9 back in the 1980ā€™s comes to mind!
Boy Racers never get old... or should I say, you're never too old to be a Boy (or Girl!) Racer? I'm 78, and still love driving.

Mine was a Triumph Herald 12/50 in Florentine Blue. No heated rear window, no radio, no inertia reel three point seatbelts, no air bags but it did have wing (not door) mirrors as an added extra.

If you had the headlights and heater on together with the after-market heated rear window that I fitted, when you stopped at the traffic lights so did the engine. The dynamo ran out of umph at low revs.

Would I have one now....NO!! I like my creature comforts too much šŸ¤£
I had the exact same model but red

I didn't chose it for sporty looks etc either. It was value for money, range and the 500kg towbar. No lease as I bought it to kerp long term is a plus too.
Can't complain about the insurance cost either.

P.S. as a hardcore boyracer (who actually drove fast as in very fast by Norwegian standards), I would say that the way the four drives is not bad at all and the way it goes is spoiling me rotten. I just had a trip in my old 2,0d Toyota Auris, and forgot to keep it over 1200 revs up the little climb to the main road from my house. Let me just say it did not respond the way I anticipated when stepping on the throttle as it did the climb slow and steady in second gear at 900-1000 rpm. šŸ˜…

Just ordered my lad (19) one on a Company car/salary sacrifice scheme that includes insurance and maintenance.... it works out cheaper than buying him a 6 year old ice and trying to find insurance so he can bring the overall average down a bit.

Just be aware that that thing make most ICE look real slow, most ICE give seconds to react after putting your foot down. A MG4 is just go (it's like a snake), very very easy for an inexperienced driver to step on it and go off or in to stuff because it all happens very fast if not careful.
That said, lucky lad.šŸ˜‰

What I didnā€™t realise about middle age crisis is that itā€™s not a one-off ā€œ*#$% Iā€™m 35, I better buy a motorcycleā€ event, but three decades of ongoing psychological torture, with each year revealing a greater discrepancy between the age you feel and the age you appear to be to others.

Bet you had to get up at 4am, sweep the lane of cow xxxx before walking 40 miles to schoolā€¦. (Monty Python inspired)
Well, of course, we had it tough... we used to have to get up out of the shoe box in the middle of the night and drive to work in a Fiat 126 652cc, air cooled, didn't like to restart when hot, embarrassing in petrol stations but at least it wasn't too heavy to push. Some things don't change though... Mrs Smith still prefers red cars!
