OVMS readings.
Starting SoC 50%.
4 hour charge so would have one hour of balancing
A01 BMS release so the early BMS gate fix
Never seems to get to the highest reading on OVMS, which was typically 98%+for most. SoC not that far off though.

40k OG ZS from the original 1000 batch in 2019

The over night balancing charge has completed. Those values have come up nicely by about 10mV. Wasn't it 108 cells per pack? So an extra volt. I wonder how much of that 30-40mV I can get back over the historic max values?

Hello , would you mind tell me what device or equipment are you using to test out high voltage battery pack? I got a 2022 sz long range with 40k that I would love to test.
Regards.

Another balancing charge

v.b.c.voltage 4.144,4.15,4.143,4.152,4.145,4.154,4.139,4.149,4.144,4.155,4.142,4.149,4.145,4.153,4.145,4.155,4.135,4.153V

v.b.voltage 447.75V

v.b.soc 98.6885%

So some up and some down on last time. I'd take that as still not there.

Incidentally whilst shuffling along at town speeds with not a low SoC I've been getting HV BATTERY FAULT pop up and disappear. There's only one thread for that on this forum and inconclusive as to the cause. I'm hoping it's an imbalance issue and one that can be recovered by my actions.

So here we are again. I thought I'd mention how to do a balancing charge that involves using a short off peak cheap rate window. Here I have Rolec and within the ev.energy app I have trickle charge enabled. Upon returning home in the evening I plug in and the charge starts immediately at a low 6 amps. When the cheap window occurs, the charge goes up to a full 32 amps and gets the battery near enough to full. Balancing then occurs for the rest of charge and beyond the cheap window at 1 amp until the car ends its balancing. Every balance charge adds a few more millivolts and overall more total voltage to battery pack therefore giving more range, which is the case as follows today versus last time.

v.b.c.voltage 4.146,4.153,4.146,4.155,4.148,4.156,4.142,4.151,4.147,4.157,4.144,4.151,4.148,4.156,4.148,4.158,4.138,4.155V

v.b.voltage 448.25V

v.b.soc 98.6885%
