Waiting times for parts for the MG4

Had mine in at MG dealer 3 weeks ago and it needs new brake rotors as my current ones are warped (car is only couple of months old) and was told it would take 5-6 weeks delivery so I am assuming they are getting shipped from China....luckily I still have my car until the parts arrive and get fitted.

Local dealership have had our mg4 for nearly 6 weeks waiting for a part to arrive getting a bit fed up now. Has anybody tried to contact mg uk to complain.
Yes, but it doesn't make any difference. Do you have a courtesy car?

Supply Chain issues will be costing MG quite a lot then.

Just doing our heads in because we haven't got a clue when we're getting it back.

Aye, I would be in the same boat - what courtesy car did they give you for the duration? They gave me a Fiat 500 EV for the day it was with them.... don't think I could've managed 6 weeks driving it!

A lot of shipping now being diverted around Africa rather than using the Suez Canal at the moment so this might be adding to delays. Found this as a potential difference in travel times

I know this won't help your frustration, but it's not only MG. Someone locally here had a courtesy car for 9 months while Dacia waited for a part. And that was the dealership, for a warranty issue.

I've been waiting since October for a replacement rear camera housing after someone low speed reversed into me. It took 4 weeks to get a replacement boot panel delivered and fitted*, so I'm not sure why the discrepancy in time for parts as I would have thought they'd have supplies of all the bits at roughly the same stock levels. The car is roadworthy and everything works so it's not an inconvenience, but still, it's not great.

*The MG approved bodyshop forgot to wire up the rear sensors when refitting it, so the dealer had to fix that...

Had an accident in mine (not my fault), it's been at the repair shop since November, I am totally frustrated, excuse is parts are coming from China.
