Hi all,
If there is anyone with an MG4 Trophy, could you please let me know (hopefully with some photos) what the raised boot floor panel actually sits on. I saw a video that showed the reviewer lifting the boot floor panel up and unfolding to hinged strips on either side. Then he plonked the boot floor back in and it was flush with the tailgate level and presumably with the rear seats when the are folded down. Just thinking ahead to my new MG4 SE on order as I work for an aerospace composites company and it would extremely easy for me to grab a piece of lightweight honeycomb composite panel and fit black carpet to it. I just need to know how it is supported around the periphery as I can't see any obvious lip or ledge in any photos or videos.

Thanks in advance........ Mark

If I recall it sits on plastic blocks at the edges to create a false shallow space under the panel.

The SE may not have those supports

First thing I did with my Trophy was remove the false floor and polystyrene in which air pump was set. Bought a boot floor liner from AliExpress and now have a normal size boot space.
I’m sure I saw a YouTube video of someone doing this (maybe worth watching). I like the raised floor, I have granny, type 2, V2L cables and a 16A to 13A adaptor (for charging at the marina) under there.

Yes, months ago there was a thread about this.

I was going to remove it but ended up storing my cables, granny charger and others bits and bobs like shopping bags under the raised floor. Means the boot is always 'empty' and I never need the extra space.
