I had R46 from delivery (July 2023) but had a few issues (12V battery not charging reliably; left star buttton wouldn't reconfigure to anything but default settings; some DC chargers refused to connect).
Dealr took it in for a morning in november to reinstall R46 in case it was the problem, when I went back they said that both charging modules needed SW updates.
R46 reinstall fixed the controls, the charger module updates fixed the charging issues. NO problems since then :)
 
Let us hope we get what the French have suggested: all the goodies of the latest SE update and a new navi module with EV charger trip planning.

My Trophy went in for bluetooth issues and remote preheating issues in Jan. The Preheating seems to have been fixed, sort of. As long as I switch the battery heating on first then I can preheat the cabin. However the bluetooth is now even worse. Also I've noticed that when I set The charge limit to 80% for overnight charging, the car charges to 100%.
I've got the car booked in again but the dealer is saying that it's normal for the car to charge to 80% (if that's what's set) and then trickle charge to 100%. I've argued that it never did this before and that charging to 100% regularly with a NMC battery is not good for it's long term health.
Has anyone else had similar charging issues?

No, my Trophy will charge to whatever % I set and then balance at that % . Also pre heating works wether plugged in or not but definitely without battery heating.
 
My Trophy went into the dealers on Tuesday. They carried out SKUK0005 update and FICM to R46.
I'm happy to say that the charge now stops at the SOC I set and that the bluetooth pairing is retained. I haven't come across any new issues that have been introduced (yet)
 
Hi, friends. Please help me. According to the photo I have firmware version R24 in my vehicle? If so, it seems to be a very old version of the firmware, right? I'm reading about R46 versions here. I have the German Luxury version. Is there anyone here who also has this version and newer firmware please? Because I'm still dealing with the problem that the vehicle sometimes won't start heating and the service doesn't know how to fix the fault at all, plus they tell me that I have the latest and newest firmware version loaded in the vehicle. Is he telling the truth? Is the latest version really for MG4 Luxury R24? Thank you very much.

Do you mean you can't start the heating from the app or in the car by using the switch below the infotainment screen?
 
Sometimes the heating (warm air) does not start and only cold air blows. This happens both when starting via the app and when starting directly in the vehicle.

Hi Baader. My Trophy is booked in for a service in 2 weeks time. I still have R24 and other than Bluetooth not always connecting automatically, I have had very few issues. Heating has always worked properly. I will be asking for advice from my dealer re an update to R46 as to whether it may bring other new problems. My main request will be for an update to sort out LKA as I drive on country roads.

Word of advice for everyone going in for service and having updates done, check DC charging works straight away.

I would mention it to dealer before hand as well.

Several owners have reported not being able to DC charge after service when some updates having been done

Yes, it may not be firmware related. Service tells me that the manufacturer is aware of this fault, but does not have a fix for it. That's great.

But now my question is whether it is true what the service says, that version R24 is the last update for my car.
 
Do you have an SE LR (as your profile says)? In the UK the version numbers for the SE have been:

1100R13
1100R16
1100R21
1100R33 (Latest)

If you have R24 then that suggests you actually have a Trophy (Luxury) and the version is 1300R24. The very latest (currently) is 1300R46 but 1300R40 is more usually installed.
