I am EU citizens also, but the car is at Israel and sold under the name MG4 luxury. Before the R59 i had R46 and R30. R59 isn't improve a lot of things in the multimedia.

I saw that people here talking about R58 that should release. I don't know what is the differences but if its like R59 there is no good reason to update from R40/R46.

At this point we would hope for some bug fixes in R59 and the ability for everyone to update to it, which isn't true with R46.

Many of the systems aren't actually down to the infotainment software, so the left hand star button problem might need a car module update. Mine works fine with R46, but that might be because I have certain other car updates installed.

The biggie would be enabling OTA updates, I still live in hope of that.

Still have the star button bug at R59. I don't think we will ever see OTAs, SAIC also removed OTA from the Chinese speces/website.

They should release a campaign for all modules update in my opinion.

In my experience OPD is a lot worse than it used to be.

Now it almost takes twice the distance to fully stop and I have to use the brake a lot as it doesn't stop in time when there's a red light or car slowed down in front of me.

So is there a ELK Disable on the pulldown menu on the homepage? Similar to the SE R33 version?
 
That seems to be what was described. In the SE that option is called LDP On, and it being highlighted means LKA is enabled, and it being grey means LKA is disabled.
 
I received an update of some software modules, but the dear lady could not really tell me what. I asked for camera an radar calibration but this must have slipped their minds.

What I did notice is an ACC button update. One single push/pull now changes with one kmh. Prolonged one now changes with 5kmh. Also, it now remembers the set distance. But speed drop during overtaking still occurs so no improvements there either.

Do you have the left star bug? I had this on R46 and also now on R59. left star stack on regen mode selector. Also the custom driving mode don't change pedal force (it save what i choose only for current drive will it save the steering and hp) but it not really change it. I want normal/sport engine HP and Comfort pedal force.

Probably some module that gives error and reset the to default. But i don't know which module is this.

My dealer clearly told me that he received a note for the R58 update. It was supposed to bring the route planner
But it could be R59 finaly or maybe R59 is for other country than Europe

No. Left star button is used to change drive mode. I use custom to set steering response, engine mode pedal response. That was sticky at r46, and still is now.
