Previous owner did factory reset as he said it would unbind it . But as you can see from the photos although I’m logged
in to my account in the car it won’t bind. Can you tell from the car if it’s bound as my app keeps asking me to bind it. I’m going round in circles .

Go to Settings > User in the Infotainment screen and see what it says as the current user (or have you done that already in your first photo ?). May need MG to unbind it if so 😒

I don't think a factory reset unbinds the car. He should have used the app to unbind it. Can you get his login details to do that?
Otherwise check the instructions on other posts to contact MG.

I have logged in as me but my app still says bind
If I can get his log in details and re log in will he get a email confirmation to unbind it and if so will he have to give me a code or something???

Just email MG (the customer services address is here if you search) with a copy of the V5C and proof of purchase and ask them to unbind it at the server end. Usually only takes a few days, and is probably quicker than any other method you may try plus with a very high success rate.

@Doug C recently had this and from the details on the screen, contacted the previous owner directly and asked them to unbind the car on their mg app.

It still wouldn't work so I told him to uninstall the app on his phone, then reinstall it.
Then reboot his phone.

That sorted it.

He now has the car bound to him with a fully functioning app.
Result.
