It’s normal to leave the AC on anyway, it keeps the seals lubricated and dehumidifies as well as cooking. Unless it’s 30 outside and you’re wanting 20 in the cabin it takes hardly any power too.
Useless aren't they? there are 2 adjusters each side, one for dip and one for main height. That's on the Trophy only, the SE just has a combined unit up/down adjuster.
Hardly, it is irritation, not a medical condition. I think sensible drivers prefer a dark cabin at night, with the minimum of distracting lights. That allows you to see out better, especially when travelling along dark lanes. The main displays are quite bright but can be minimised. The...
Yes, if you SORN the car, it cancells all tax. You then have to re-tax it, from what they said on the facebook group, you can 1) re-tax it online 5 days after the SORN, or 2) re-tax it at a post office the next day. I'm certain that would work Rolfe. Obviously you can't keep the car on a...
No, basically 1 April 2025 is when the annual £180 payment starts. So by re-taxing now in March 2024 at £0, you will again tax next March 2025 at £0. £180 payments start in April 2025. So then in March 2026 you will have to pay £180. But you have saved £180 for a whole year.

So is your tax renewal date now 1 April 2025? It might be just worth going through the OP's (my) process again, saying "no tax letter" etc to see if you can re-tax it again, right now, in March. The worst that could happen is it won't let you, but I think it will (hopefully); the...
Yes, mine took three days to update, it still said 1 June 2024 for a few days then switched to 1 March 2025. And I just re-checked (search for "check if car taxed" and it's definately 1 March 2025.
NB it saves £180 not £165 as pointed out above! It's really worth doing.
Hi, in April 2025, EV cars switch from £0 per year car tax to £190. If your car is registered in March, you'll avoid paying it next year. But if registered in April, May or after, you just miss the cut-off and will pay £190 on renewal next year.
This method delays it for a year to March 2026...
