Well, I can confirm that I was able to remotely unlock the car. It can be awakened from sleep mode by pressing the door button without the presence of the key. Problem solved!

Many thanks for this - It really does help. It confirms that it goes to sleep and needs waking up. I am hoping that pressing the button on the handle without the key present will be sufficient! Thx again!

73 Plate FL Trophy. Didn't work on delivery. Had to argue hard to have the software applied as the dealer denied that MGs could charge from Tesla. Eventually got the update and works fine.

EMG in Ipswich have the right attitude. They solved my Forward camera issue that came as a result of my Supercharger upgrade - It took 3 visits though but that was down to the 'process' that the MG collective imposes on everyone drawn into the web...

Mine is new and so I complained that the MG web site said it could charge from Public Chargers so I expect to be able to use it on public chargers with CCS such as Tesla. They explained that only recently (25th Jan) had MG released a service bulletin that allows dealers to do software updates...
