yes it mentions to use a Windows machine to extract the files - BUT I've formatted a 64 GB Stick with FAT32 and unzip the maps folder and contents with a linux machine without issues...

Hi The update is now WORKING... My infotainment version is R40 JIC After the download , the loong Unzip, you get the final 30/35 minutes of update in the car;):) after selecting the maps( inserting the USB stick waiting to read and then selecting the maps ) you get a window on Checking MD5...

The app is a"nice-to-have" , not required ... Like @Kithmo I use it to also warm up the interior , seats. Also to see the charging remotely when i leave it on a street charger. The Thing that could be useful but havent tested is the Battery pre heating when its too cold outside that you can...

Tried the VN.TXT file and the OLD downloaded MAPs.ZIP ( downloaded from MGMOTOR.eu) It didnt work it goes back to the upgrade Instructions message to continue/cancel... Next test - unzip the maps.zip file downloaded from https://iov-mapmg.soimt.com/#/downloadMap and see if it reacts better...

so what you re saying is that this Fingerprint file is only related with the base 51KWh model ( and nothing to do with the Luxury/trophyLR model ??? If thats the case then I'll test the generated Vn.txt to see if it works or I obtain the same result reported up

Probably an Encoded Key between the Car VIn and the Fingerprint file they ASk (still need to go to the car and check how to get this - the Site is very helpful-NOT- : Need to check this resource upgrade in setting:) The file contains a 128 Chars string
