So you'd advocate all the MG owners on here to move to a different car come replacement time?
My view is to do what the OP appears to be doing, which is assess your needs, research the available products, take a test drive and make decision based on heart and head together. No good buying...
Thanks.
I did give my reasons when I emailed my dealer to cancel the MG4. Predictably I've heard nothing and not seen the deposit back yet.
I don't kid myself they care about losing little old me. The purpose of my post (apart from getting grumbles off my chest) was as a courtesy to those I...
Thanks to everyone that has provided useful knowledge, food for thought and engaged in friendly banter, but I'm out and wanted to say cheerio.
Having run an original ZS EV for a little over 3 years and had my name on a waiting list for an MG4 since September, I have concluded that I no longer...
I've heard some nonsense in my time....
If the problem was purely due to overfilling then MG would never have gone to the trouble of designing and fitting a new breather on ANY car,
There are 3 possible explanations for the fact that some cars have had the issue reported and others have not...
For anyone doing regular long journeys or without home charging I'd agree with you. Many people rarely drive more than 200 miles in a day in which case 'regular' EVs may serve them well.
A friend of mine is trying to sell him model S at the moment. He has been disappointed with the build...
Don't worry I don't intend to pay it. Am sure it will be a warranty repair, the only other explanation is that it is damaged due to an accident, or user error. In either of these cases I'd expect a technician to identify the issue inside 2 mins and I'd baulk at paying £89 for 2 mins attention...
Yeah, that's what they told me too. They are very careful in not saying exactly how the matter has been resolved but when pushed it seems their 'solution' is just to put a bit less oil in and swap breather only if owners complain. Problem is that likely means that you get a soiled driveway and...
Bjorn seemed to like it. He raved about ride and seemed happy with performance. He had nicer seats that we get in the UK but still felt it was a bit cheap inside.
Downsides for him were the charging speed never getting over about 80 kWh even in ideal conditions, LKA being borderline...
Did you ask if it will come with the new breather, or will you be expected to return to have it checked and photographed, then return a second time to have it fitted when it does?
I'm sorry I'm not at liberty to say what I may or may not have done in the back of a MG5, but getting my feet under the front seats was not uppermost in my mind ;)
I agree that it is lower and more difficult for those of us of a certain age (and I very much include myself) to get into a M3 than a MG5 and the passenger comfort is probably not so good. For the driver a M3 is pretty good and for all occupants a MY is much more roomy and comfortable.
A Tesla...
How do you imagine this same journey would have gone in an MG5 or 4?
At those speeds and with that load you would be relying upon the public charging network that is worse than SuC alternatives so it would have been harder to find a charger and taken longer to charge.
I visited Tesla and took...
The apparent variation in oil leaks I can explain.
In order to leak the transmission first needs sufficient oil, secondly the pressure has to be raised which causes the air (and suspended oil) to be expelled.
Filled to specification, and taken on a long fast road trip I believe all cars would...
