After having an ev for nearly 10 years Zap map is the way to go. Always have a few sites just in case of failure. Definitely the A1 is usually good for infrastructure and usually a few miles off it there are fast chargers available.

For Android auto to work it must be attached via a cable to the USB port. Android auto is always a bit flakey the new version is supposed to get rid of some of the bugs. Also if you haven't selected the right settings when tethering with the cable it may stop some functions.
We have had EVs for over 9 years one of the strange things we found was the need to lock the car before charging. Then you can check the charger to see if it's taking power. Our home charger shows green when it's taking power.
