I just wanted to help you guys... Unfortunately I did not take any more pictures when it was removing the bumper - too stressed out! I'm sure as hell I am not going to disassemble it again just to take more pictures! I can answer questions, if you need help, anyway I did spend a lot of time...

Rear bumper removal - ZS EV mk1

Actually, after doing all this work I realised that MAYBE there is an easier way if you only want to replace the bottom lights The rear bumper is joined to the body ( chassis?) of the car with some felt, which is kept in place by 3 or 4 screws, so maybe if you take out the felt ( after taking...

Rear bumper removal - ZS EV mk1

I had to remove the rear bumper of my MG ZS EV to replace one of the rear bottom lights, and it very convoluted: you need to remove the rear lamps, and there are two screws below and behind them you need to remove the wheel arch cover , at least a bit to show a screw behind them: use a plastic...

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

So what's wrong to able to get that information if is already available to a car in another country? Is just a matter of being able to choose what you can look at or not. So for you it will be enough to just have the "bare essentials" when most cars of the same category have them? Don't get me...

Dead battery after side lights left on all day

Can you open the car doors? If you can't this is a symptom the Auxiliary Battery ( 12V) battery is flat There is a thread in this forum on how to open the door with the emergency key - can't remember where, and would have to search - If that is the case, open the door, then open the bonnet and...

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

I have put my charger in pulse repair mode for around 12 hours and seemed to do the trick: It has been around 12.9-12.6 volts for a couple of days now. Before it would go down in barely a ciuple of hours. I will keep an eye on it, though Nothing like this would have happened if the ZS have had...

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

I have a bluetooth module that is attached to the battery ( it only consumes 1 mA, so is unlikely to drain the battery), but I was actually double-checking with a digital multimeter

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

I have another question: what are the chances the battery actually doesn't hold a charge? Would that be covered by the car warranty? I unplugged the charger for a few minutes, and it went from 13.10v to 12.5 in about 1-2 minutes the only oher option would be that the charger ( a smart 8A one) is...

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

I think you are missing the point: I open the door, open the trunk and check the battery , and is low, there is NOTHING switched on. Also, the ( 12V) battery gets drained when the car is actually turned off ( and locked)

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

I'm not sure what do you mean "in ready". When I finish with the car, I just turn off the car - either with the door switch or remote. What other option is?

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

I originally had the camera connected to a fuse which provided power ALL the time, but due to this switched to a fuse that only provides power when IN USE ( car powered on). Regarding OVMs, I did the installation the day before, so not 24 hours had passed since, so have had no time to test Th...

My bad, I should have said: "I charged the 12v battery with my OVMS box installed". I did use an external charger

MG ZS Aux Battery getting depleted

Hi I have had my MG ZS EV Exclusive since Dec 2019, and more than once I have found the Aux Battery ( 12V) fully depleted while parked in my driveway I've noticed that in less than a week ( some times 3-4 days) the voltage ( I have a bluetooth meter attached to the battery) goes as low as 12V...
