New front tyres at 20,000miles ZS EV Any Suggestions on the tyre to fit?

I never thought about that. I recall it was something my dad used to do when I was a kid. it makes a great deal of sense. Thank you for mentioning it. I didn't even know that was a thing. I do now though. Thank you. This forum is extremely valuable isn't it?!

    anti collision emergency braking

My ZS Gen 1 collision control has never activated in over 20,000 miles. In fact I have often worried it isnt working. Not that we drive too close ever, but it has beeped at us a few times. Do I need cruise control to be on for it to auto activate?

My ZS is slowly falling apart...

The mud and muck is a camera issue for sure, also on my Volvo V40, so I had a pair of mudflaps fitted to the rear wheels on both cars. I think they were £11 per pair online. Ebay, universal fittings, I never did sus out how the stupid brackets should work so just screwed them into place through...

New front tyres at 20,000miles ZS EV Any Suggestions on the tyre to fit?

Yes, I did, but I have a local place who I always use, and it's convenient. I trust them. Yes, I think I do notice a road noise difference - maybe if I had all four done, then it'd be quite obviously quieter.

New front tyres at 20,000miles ZS EV Any Suggestions on the tyre to fit?

Thank you for the info. I think the Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 were 135 each. I just changed the front at 21,000, though was was a few more months wear on them maybe.

This is brilliant - thank you so much. I will check local supplier for the Goodyear. Much appreciated. Thank you for the above information - I had the Goodyear's fitted yesterday. Quite happy with them. :)

New front tyres at 20,000miles ZS EV Any Suggestions on the tyre to fit?

Thank you this is really helpful. The compromise I guess comes from price difference vs. safety and longevity - bearing in mind wife and kids and a very precious cargo!

New front tyres at 20,000miles ZS EV Any Suggestions on the tyre to fit?

So, the front ones look pretty low, though still legal apparently. All this snow this week makes me want to change the front ones now. Anyone any experience of which type, brand might suit the 2020 EV best. I think grippy in the wet, more important than speed performance, Any suggestions...

Strange whirring and ticking noises from underneath..?!

Just as a quick update - the noise went away - so it's not bothering us now. Very strange - as we did nothing. It's gone from intensely irritating to nothing.

    More on Unpleasant Smell

Going back to our previous conversations, I have just discovered what the smelly socks stink is all about... It starts at start up and goes away within a few minutes. It's the Screen Washer liquid - cheap B&Q. Simple as that! So now that the temperatures are rising again, I can begin to use...

MG ZS EV There is a bad smell, but not a burning?

2021, Gen 1. 20,00 miles. It is recent, so with the HVAC on, and comes after we have been driving for a few moments, it stays there for a few minutes then seems to dissipate - I don't think it goes away because we are getting used to it, it's too strong too for that. My wife says it's a...

Water inside rear screen after washing?

I was wondering if anyone else had seen this, after washing, hosing the rear screen? Took me a bit by surprise. If there is an opening around the screen (maybe bottom) then it also means noise and damp can enter surely?

Strange whirring and ticking noises from underneath..?!

Thank you. It certainly doesn't affect any of the driving or charging. Love this car!

I think you are right - that's all I can think it is. Comes and goes, as does the weather!

Anyone fitted a Dash Cam yet? If so how did it go? Touch Screen with gloves on?

I have the Nextbase 522GW, for around 10,00 miles now - it's been fine. Hardwired in by the MG garage in Gloucester, for about £40. Painless. the extra wiring kit was £20 from Halfords who declined to fit it, saying they weren't sure how.

Strange whirring and ticking noises from underneath..?!

Hiya, Yes, I flick them out regularly. These tyres certainly pick them up. It's something central and underneath, electrical noise - must be a balancing system. The garage didn't recognise my description. Car drives great.

Strange whirring and ticking noises from underneath..?!

Could be any speed Jim, noticeable more when gently cruising, as the road noise at higher speeds means you can just about hear the two clicks (ticking sounds). I charged overnight and left it running next day to balance the batteries - seemed to be much reduced. Noticed it again today...
