MG5 review after covering 120,000 miles.

Considering that EV cars using public (rapid) chargers are considerable more expensive to run than cheap petrol cars, I think not.

I think the curent instruction is now often, "Mirror - Signal - Mirror - Manoeuvre"

Ease of use of heater controls (edited)

I completely agree. Not a problem that's confined to MG. It seems like my phone, computer, everywhere I go, have l lots of screen real estate and minute buttons.

    PodPoint at Lidl

Terrible pricing. Makes an electric car more expensive to run than a small, petrol car if you have to use public ev chargers. Surely, BP and the rest have access to wholesale prices way below 30p And could charge way less.

Is it possible to totally run an EV on just a Granny charger? 🤔

I'm using a 3kWh public charger. It consistantly charges my ZS long range at 5% an hour, which is fine for me.

    Charging Speed at 10%?

Approx. 2 kWh Assuming it doesn’t blow a fuse in your house. It’s like two 1000 watt kettles going on non-stop.

Very interesting reply from my MP reference Rapid Charger fund

"To support this goal, I am told that the Government will invest £950 million in the Rapid Charging Fund which will futureproof electrical capacity at motorway and major A road service areas, dashing any anxiety around long journeys and making charging as easy as refuelling a petrol or diesel...

Advice on paint scratch - ZS EV LR

As it is on the horizontal, curved edge of the bumper that sticks out the most, it lookes to be from a scrape/collision. Unless you are an expert or are willing to literally put in hours watching youtube videos and practising, I don't think a diy approach will work. An autorepair shop will...

    MG4 Equalisation Charge

If I stick my MG ZS LR on a PodPoint overnight, will it (1) Stop charging when it gets to 100% or continue to do a balancing charge? (2) If it does a balancing charge, will it still be using electricity and charging me more money, while it does the balance?

Which uses more power? Heating recirculation or heating using external air.

Does anyone know which is the more power hungry when it comes to heating (not ac cooling). Either having air flow set to recirculation or to take air in from the outside?

    Equalising charge

I don't have a charger at home. If I connect it to a PodPoint overnight, which charges it to 100% by say 4am. Should it balance by the time I pick it up at 9am?

    MG App

I find it very intermittent in my new MG ZS. I've park down the road in a good reception area and sometimes the app connects to the car and sometime not. Quite infuriating.

    Real battery capacity

I am selling my 2021 Renault Zoe. It has a Total Battery Capacity of 54.7 kWh and a Usable Battery Capacity of 41.0 kWh. This means that I can always charge it up to 100% (41.0 kWh) as there is an overhead and it never goes to the real 100%. There is no need to limit the charging to 80%. My MG...
