Down to zero with the SOC indicator blinking then disappearing. Done specifically for a range test video for my EV YT Channel but was nerve racking 🔋🇦🇺👍
Hi Big, lots of different reasons for this. Search the various threads and tick off each solution until you find the one which fixes your car. Mine was failed uni joint. Video here:
Lol, MG don't waste any money of making things neat or covering them up. 🤣🤣🤣.
I put some courtesy lights in the foot wells (video coming on that) and amazing what I found under there. 👍
We've had the first gen ZS EV for over 2 years now and generally happy with it. I have some videos on my EV YouTube channel on the car so they might help. I also cover the 1 problem we have had with the steering. Congrats on going EV. 👍⚡🔋☀️
Battery preheating is used to increase charge rate at DC rapid chargers therefore reducing the time required to charge. It does reduce range so if you don't need to use it don't.
Thanks for sharing Miles, valuable stuff!
Now we just need MG Australia to import the long range model. Over here the Atto 3 LR is killing the ZSEV in sales as most people want LR.
All great suggestions 👍. Unfortunately for Australian drivers your last couple of points don't apply as we're not as progressed with charging infrastructure as you guys n girls in the UK. 🤣
Congrats on planning the road trip. Could be tight but start off and adjust speed, consumption accordingly if you look like running low on juice.
No harm in a quick charge on the way if convenient. Sometimes we overthink these things. Just enjoy the trip and if u need a charge, or cuppa, just...
Only good news is these crazy rates won't last forever. Unlike fossil fuels which are likely to continue to go higher over time through lack of supply or pollution taxes. Similar has happened in Australia to what you have described above.
Hi Congrats on moving to an EV. My suggestion is don't overthink it, just enjoy the driving/ownership experience and you will pick up the most important things particular to your lifestyle/driving use as you go. Cheers from Downunder!
