I paid £120 at first service on my ZS TCLR. Held to ransom but wanted 100% assurance that it would work rather than the various iffy info that was around at the time. It works perfectly in UK and EU.
Life’s too short. I cannot take the pressure of dealing with useless customer support.
Will get my own back when I choose my next car. Having said that I do like my TCLR.
They play silly buggers with the updates. I was told that updates at first service in July 2023 for my TCLR would not cover Tesla compatibility.. As posted before paid £120 for official guaranteed Tesla compatible update that does work without hassle.
Thanks for anti rattle tape suggestion for the tweeters. On the Mk2 how do I remove the interior lights/sunroof panel for anti rattle treatment. I have trim tools but not sure where to start?
The left and right hand tweaters in the A pillar can often need fitting with anti rattle tape. The overhead interior light cluster can also contribute to the problem. The windscreen wiper plastic panel that makes contact with the glass is another potential cause.
The Tesla update allows mk2 facelift ZS EVs to use the open Tesla super chargers. The details of those available are the downloadable App. There is uncertainty as to whether just having a car updated with the latest software gives you the Tesla facility or not. I opted to pay £120 for my dealer...
It’s not just MG from what I have seen on other forums. The cost of a decent Bosch battery will pay for itself in the coming years by not having to visit the dealer.

I respect your decision to change but feel it is coloured by your general attitude to EVs.
My MG TCLR is not the best out there but it is good value. i charge at home on Go at 9.5p except when away from base on long journeys. If I am caught short at home and charge during the day to top up it...
ZS EV mk2 intermittent creak/rattle somewhere in back of car interior.
After eliminating seatbelt buckles and rear seat fixings I have just tried putting some anti squeak/rattle tape around the tailgate catch bar ( the metal post revealed when you push in the sprung plastic cover). My...
You need to keep car on when running radio as if not you are drawing from the 12V battery. Had same problem in the past with my ICE Honda CR-V. Sat eating a Tesco meal deal and then car would not start - flattish battery!.
There’s is a big MG UK dealer meeting sometime this month. I think Miles Roberts of Chorley Group will let us know of any info he is allowed to impart In a future podcast.
