Does the long range have led's?
If so you may be able to change the entire unit?- it's replacing halogen with led bulbs that's illegal not upgrading the whole unit.
Not a cheap option though.
I also found the headlights mediocre compared to other vehicles (non led) I have owned - good for the...
I sold my old Hillman Minx for a fiver when petrol hit 50p in the early seventies fuel crises.
I've still got the fuel coupons the government was preparing to introduce. (Which I think we're left over from WW2).
Used to be a six year wait for a new Morgan, you ordered a replacement before driving off.
Now you can virtually buy a Morgan off the shelf but wait 4 years for a mass produced city hatchback.
Strange times.
😁
Not sure what the advantage is restricting to 80% - unless you are fast charging where I understand it only fast charges to 80%. Seems a lot of talk about battery life but I understood the software already has allowances.
If we only charge to 80% and not drive below 20% it means the effective...
35 kg for the short range. If you search the topics you will find Les Burrows helped to force MG to get the necessary certification.
I was speaking to my dealer and He could find no discernable differences between the rails on the SR and LR models.
But we are where we are, 35kg loading for the SR.
I've found the first 7 or 8 miles uses 5% of the battery whatever the weather (and using aircon/heater as necessary). Driving like Miss Daisy makes no difference.
I'm no expert but put it down to the batteries warming after a cold start (but like a choke on a ice).
This could explain your bad...
I stayed in Bluestone holiday park in Wales this summer.
It had free chargers according to the blurb.
They were Tesla make chargers and would not work with the MG5 (or another MG ZS on site).
We had the use granny chargers.
Seemed the chargers worked hit and miss with all EVa except Tesla,
I had an argument with a tyre man over swapping good rear tyres with the front which were 75% worn.
The car was already sold to a dealer but the new replacement was delayed so I did not want to spend money on new tyres.
He wouldn't do it stating the under/oversteer issue if the front tyres were...
I'm afraid I got bored with watching the video.
It does seem a mid term makeover rather than an entirely new model (does look smart though)
I understood this one will be a lot slower than the current model is the any information later in the clip?I
Does anyone know if you can get zap map mirrored from an Android phone to the car display?
I can get Waze, Google maps and Amazon etc but not zap map.
Probably due to my ignorance so any help welcome and apologies if it's been asked before.
That's very bad luck - could the water bottle have acted like a magnifying glass? Unless you can prove there is a fault with the material i wouldn't think MG will help.
Possibly a set of seat covers from Halfords or the like will be an (un)satisfactory short term solution.
Looking at the specs on the long range MG5 the roof rails have a 75kg weight limit. Has anyone seen if the high range MG has different high weight rails?
And be careful with your route planning - I got surrounded by cycle and cab routes at peak hours - £65 for straying into Lombard Street, no excuses and £130 if you don't pay inside 28 days 😕 . Thank you Mayor of London
Don't forget that includes breakdown cover. I got mine for just over £9.00 month. The breakdown cover would cost a fair proportion of this so to me it's a no brainer for the peace of mind
I've done a South Coast to London commute a number of times now but have failed to see any outstanding mileage increase in town driving compared to country and A roads.
My route is from Portsmouth area to Whitechapel 79 miles each way.
Generally around 3.5 Miles/KW (I use air con etc).
It...
