I think it's the sun that degrades tyres. I've never had a cracked tyre even on some that were 8 years old on previous cars. I park on my drive and one side of the car is in the shadow of the hedge and the other side is in the car's shadow, so basically the sun hardly ever shines on my tyres...

My ZS does. Try dropping the kers down a level as you're applying a very light acceleration, you'll feel the car surge forward very slightly.

If your 5 is a pre-facelift, your TPMS sensors will show the tyres in the wrong position if you swap them over. You'll need to go to the dealers and pay for reprogramming each time you swap the tyres over. It could work out cheaper in the long run to replace the tyres in pairs by not swapping...

Our ex-demonstrator 5 had stains like those from the valeting, a bit too much spray cleaner (it was during Covid when we bought it).

Have you had a car that reads speed signs before ? The reason I ask is, my previous car, a Prius, did and it was just the same in terms of accuracy, I thought they were all the same.

For the cable to be able to "allow" 7kW charging it has to be a 32A one, 7kW/240V=29A. If it's only pulling 3.5kW then it must be a 16A cable, 240Vx16A=3.8kW max My MG supplied cable is a 32A, you guys must have got short changed if you got a 16A one.

Personally I wouldn't leave phone chargers on at night unattended. There have been too many instances of fires caused by chargers overheating or batteries catching fire for me. Doesn't your hot water tank have an immersion heater ? older ones sometimes do.

The loss of range depends on how hard the heater or AC is called upon to work. The closer you set the temperature to ambient temperature, the less work it has to do and hence less loss of range. I don't have the luxury of Auto climate and setting an actual temperature with my Gen 1 ZS but 3...

I thought it might be, press and hold the home button, but if it's the same as the MG4 that just restarts it. It doesn't appear to have an off option.

Just tried on my Gen 1 ZS and if I switch off the radio before I switch off the car it doesn't come on when I restart the car, same on SWMBO's first gen 5 SR.

I went for the EDFGo38 18p off peak, 10 hours overnight and all weekend, seemed a more flexible option for our needs.

Just press the mute button on the steering wheel when you start up. As a matter of interest, I've not tried it on ours, does the radio come on every time you start the car even if you turned the radio off before your last power down ?
