Thanks @MilesperkWh, after much debating and back and forth I've pulled the trigger on:
4 x Michelin CrossClimate 2 215/55 R17 W (98)
Just under £600 on tyres 🤮 But having had the previous gen CrossClimates on another car, the CrossClimate2 appear to be a decent upgrade and with their improved...
Hi @PhillCPH, did you end up increasing your tyre height? I'm also considering going for a 215/60/17 (up from 215/50/17). Certainly looks like there would be ample room in the arches but keen to understand if anyone has fitted these yet and if they rub at all?
I used this when I bought mine a year ago and it was one of the main factors in making my mind up. It was very easy to apply and has been straight forward since. Very pleased to see it is still available!
I definitely did also :)(y)
If the stone had been smaller, or wedged more towards the edge then it might have worked, but for the size and where it had lodged itself it was easier just to pop the pads and disc off.
The dust shields are actually pretty robust too, I was expecting them to be a...
I suspect the neighbours in the houses near where I pulled over to investigate must have been watching horrified as I tried that very thing repeatedly  forwards, backwards, turning full lock and wiggling side to side, scraping loudly the whole time🤪
We set off in the MG this weekend and a very short distance down the road started hearing an awful noise coming from the car. It started low volume and at first we thought it was the radio! (it sounded like static), then we opened then windows and realised it was indeed coming from the car and...
A Crude Mockup, but I was thinking that combining the site logo with the glowing orbs of the charge port cover could look cool (even more so if it's a heat sensitive mug where they can appear and disappear o_O). With the grill styling in the background fading out towards the edges.
I was...
Sorry for the delay (pardon the pun).
It's taken a while for me to be able to test delayed charging as I was waiting to sort out the wifi signal at the charger before testing (had to disable my PowerLine adapters as they were interfering with charging). I've not fully resolved the issue but had...
you would have to stop the charge as well as unlock the vehicle to release the lock on the charge port (unless something has gone wrong). As above every machine is slightly different as to how you stop it, but normally there’s either a handy Stop button, or you have to repeat the starting...
I wonder if this is just the start of the way petrol and diesel went. It’s all rainbows and sunshine just now with free electrons or even prices of 39p, but in 10-20 years we’ll be looking back on the “good old days” as we take a sharp intake of breathe at paying over £1/KW
either that...
This could be a large thread! You can search / filter specifically for free Chargers In apps like zap-map and plugshare.
i just topped up for free at Union Square in Aberdeen. Had to pay for parking but was going anyway so doesn’t count:geek:
Confirmed just now I have the right cable with my first visit to a pod point ☺ phew!
I do find it odd that they don’t work as extensions, despite extensions seemingly looking the same - there must be some extra electronics.
