    Servicing intervals etc

I Is the high cost of the coolant change due to expensive fluid or labour? I worked out that over the first five years of ownership, MG EV servicing is more expensive than ICE equivalent mainly due to this rather expensive aspect, which is a bit of a shame. But perhaps - I guess we shall see...

    DashCam suggestions

Very interesting- thank you! I suppose we all pay for it in the end as that is what insurance is about - spreading the risk. So my understanding of this discussion is; 1. Could be handy to have an inexpensive dashcam fitted 2. Perhaps don’t declare it ( I guess they are usually fairly easy to...

And I’m presuming because it’s not hardwired in, it doesn’t count as a modification?

    DashCam suggestions

If you’re only paying around £25 for it (as an example), it’s hardly a huge payout risk especially as it would help settle their claims quickly ( I would imagine) and - as far as I’m aware - they are very legal and pose no risk to driver. I imagine they will become standard on all cars but...

That is really crazy. In what way would a dashcam be a ‘dangerous’ modification?? I think that needs challenging… Wonder what they would think about wiring in a coffee machine?? :coffee::unsure:

Do UK insurers give a discount if you have a dashcam installed?

Australian release of 2022 MG ZS EV! Finally…

Perhaps you’re right about the current lack of infrastructure but I feel the time taken to stop and recharge more often puts prospective buyers off. I have friends in Sydney who routinely drive kids to weekend sports all over the metro area which can mean over 250kms in a Saturday 😳. The added...

Australian release of 2022 MG ZS EV! Finally…

I think 80% of potential EV buyers in Australia would agree with you! I perceive that there is possibly market research being conducted by MG only within the inner city and suburbs. There has been a huge exodus to regional and rural Australia in the last two years as our demographers and real...

Australian release of 2022 MG ZS EV! Finally…

“The decision has been made to focus on the 51kWh lithium iron phosphate-equipped new ZS EV for the Australian and New Zealand markets, because it offers the right combination of range, battery stability and life, recharging time and value for our customers.” Good luck with that MG Australia!(n)

    Unbelievable! [ Charging etiquette ]

Unfortunately where we are (Tasmania), we don’t get to be too picky about where we choose to charge at present. Things should improve I hope. Absolutely agree about chargers in the darkest corners of some towns/villages. It’s almost like they’re a bit ashamed of them? And yes, I have HUGE...

    Unbelievable! [ Charging etiquette ]

I think some signage is needed at all public charging points as waiting to ‘refuel’ is a new concept for most motorists since the wonderful invention of self-service (?) - ie security cameras installed and active, threatening behaviour will be recorded and reported, be patient and respect other...

EVs will be cheaper than ICE vehicles by 2026!

Why does the MGZSEV have significantly more range in India??

That seems to match ChrisR’s experience in Brisbane (see above).

Why does the MGZSEV have significantly more range in India??

My inner sceptic said exactly that! However, ChrisR (see above) notes that he does get 300kms in city driving so that’s an interesting observation from someone on the forum. I would have that for everyday driving if possible! Gorgeous:D

Why does the MGZSEV have significantly more range in India??

https://www.team-bhp.com/news/my-transition-evs-bought-mg-zs-ev-ather-450-plus Came across this Indian review of the MG - it mentions the quite impressive range they seem to be able to achieve. Considering we have similar weather in many Australian regions and as far as I know, any range over...
