How long have your 12V batteries been lasting before they need replacing?

Thanks all. It seems to be the general consensus that 2 years too short (it was never drained before)... i.e. it looks like something else might be up. Indeed, I discovered today from my wife that the lad was "stress testing" the rear left window switch last weekend (the re-enactment was...

How long have your 12V batteries been lasting before they need replacing?

We have been happily running our MG ZS EV for just over 2 years since new without any issues, but over the last week we have found it completely dead three times, requiring manual key entry and jump-starting to wake it up. I am wondering whether the 12V battery has simply reached the end of its...

Any ideas for reading light for passengers in rear?

Reporting back as promised on this... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0814D1C7Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_1WB8T69DTAWCXV1K719S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 He loves it. I gave him a board to clip it to for flimsy books. Sometimes he clips it to the grab gandle. In either case the lead is long enough to...

Any ideas for reading light for passengers in rear?

Many thanks. I do think it is going to be very expensive option, so will let him try a rechargeable clip-on light first. I have ordered one of these... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0814D1C7Y/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ... I will report back when he has tried it...

We love gadge but Kindle does not suit his present mainstays: Beano, Asterix & Tin Tin!

Any ideas for reading light for passengers in rear?

That might actually be a perfect, thank you. Something that clips to the book would certainly save faffing around with mounting it. Plus the light is where it needs to be and moves with the page, so the wobbling issue is sidestepped. Also, it would not distract the driver. The USB...

Thanks. I like the rally connection... I used to have a WRX... perhaps this isn't quite the same!

Any ideas for reading light for passengers in rear?

... or... simply attach your first option to back of headrest with (black) elastic. It would need a short USB extension lead. That would help get it nice and high - don't really want a light shining in eyes when reading. Think we're getting warmer, thanks!

Any ideas for reading light for passengers in rear?

Thanks again.. Nice long lead... clamp could be useful.. but where to clamp it....? Would still need to steady the head I reckon... I'm now thinking utilize the front seat headrest posts somehow... just not sure how... Maybe block of wood, say 20x5x1.5cm, drill 2 holes for the headrest...

Any ideas for reading light for passengers in rear?

An unforseen casualty of the lovely panaromic sunroof in our MG ZS EV has become apparent now that the nights are setting in (as old people used to say (when I wasn't old)): the lack of a light in the middle of the car ceiling, which we took for granted in our previous car, by which the lad used...

    Pairing with an Android

Ain't that the truth. I too tried three cables (all proven to transfer data with a PC, one being the original that came with the phone) in both sockets. The phone would show as connected, but the AA icon in the car would not light up. At some stage, after attempting a few times over several...
