    Car Accident… :(

Someone reversed into my ZS a few weeks after I bought it, and they buggered off without leaving any details. But they were spotted by someone in one of the local businesses, and they left a note on the car. Insurance dealt with it all (was LV I was insured with) and the total bill was around...

    Worn out seat! Anyone else?

I've got a similar issue developing in my 70 plate ZS, namely splitting along the outside of the seat bolster. Really would have expected it to last longer than 40,000 miles.

Not how I thought today was going to pan out...

I give up. AA agreed to recover the car to Rutherglen, but because the driver was delayed, he had to phone and confirm they'd be OK with the handover being after the service department closes. They then inform him that the waiting time to even look at it is the end of April, and I may be...

Not how I thought today was going to pan out...

Had genuinely thought it was ok. Hasn't missed a beat since it came back from Longbridge until this morning. Just a few wee niggles I found prepping for the MOT, but nothing traction related.

Not how I thought today was going to pan out...

Well....this is a thread I really hoped to never resurrect... Driving home from a friend's house, and it's done it again Oh yeah, and once again, MG Linwood haven't put the car back on the AA Assistance list after the service and MOT in October, despite me specifically asking if they'd...

Interesting/worrying story from Scotland - ZS with no brakes.

I think that's probably the same warning that's been on most cars for decades, not to turn off the ignotion when you're driving

Interesting/worrying story from Scotland - ZS with no brakes.

The EPB is a separate switch on the centre console, not the one in the centre of the drive selector. You lift and hold the switch to activate everything, and it makes a bit of a racket, so you know it's on.

    Key battery

Depends on how diligently they do the service... mine definitely weren't.

Whats the minimum battery level for the car to work?

As noted, the car does give you multiple warnings, from the level lines flashing (yeah, you should take note of this) right down to the turtle (this is nae, nae kiddin time). Whilst the battery won't be "flat" in the traditional sense of no charge left, and the GOM is really only a guess of...

    Driving with charge port open

Managed to leave the cover off, and then drove through a blizzard... I don't recommend it. I've put a wee bit of reflective tape on the top edge of the hatch on my mk1, sticks up just high enough for me to see from the driving seat.

Post your MG ZS EV battery SOH data please

I'm currently sitting at around 28k miles, and 93½%, but what I have noticed over the last wee while is occasional blips in battery health, where the % value has actually gone up slightly. Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

Temporary spare wheel/tyre for ZS EV

Whichever one you get, make sure you check which wheel bolts it requires. On my mk1, the spare I bought is a VW pattern wheel, and they use a different bolt chamfer. A few quid on ebay gets a set of replacement bolts you can keep in the boot.

    Electric tyre pump

You're right, it should work. I'm just saying there are better options that would be sensible to think about if you're keeping the vehicle any length of time.

    Electric tyre pump

As much as MG supply a pump and a bottle of goo, it's a better investment to buy a spare wheel and a decent pump.

    Beyond Frustrated!

Who are the dealers it's been back to? I've had a few instances of similar (have a whole thread about it) but the dealer has been more helpful than it appears yours has been. If they can't get replicate the fault (which was the case the first few times) they kept on at MG until they finally...

    CCS Rapid Charge issue

I wish I could expand on what they have down there, but I'm totally in the dark about anything and everything about Longbridge. I've had no info about any of the work they've done whilst the car's been down there, and when I've asked the tech at the dealer, he's been told about the same. I...

Not how I thought today was going to pan out...

When I finally remembered where I stored my obd reader (old age is creeping up) I'm now seeing around 0.25 volt difference between max and min cells. Previously the normal difference was a tenth of that. Taking a long time to balance out.

    CCS Rapid Charge issue

I don't think I've ever seen a charge rate higher than around 35, with the normal being around 25. My pack is out of whack since the multiple trips back to Longbridge.

Not how I thought today was going to pan out...

Not the warmest, but I did the same journey multiple times last year from around the same time of year, through similar temps. I'll see how it pans out over the next few days.
