    Better mileage than range prediction

Yes, I have had the same today. Mileage done and GOM prediction added up to 170 miles. ZS EV Mk1 But that is not to say it would achieve the 170 miles.... Temperature was reading 23°C, mi/kWh 4.6 .

ZS EV and those hand car washes with pressure washers

Think: Heavy rain at motorway speeds..... The car is waterproof..

    1 week in

Just enjoy the car with all of its bells and whistles. Don't worry too much about miles per Kw etc, your journey is short, so efficiency as such is not an issue. Advice is good, but don't get hung up on it. As summer approaches, and temperatures rise, your m/kw will rise significantly anyway...:)

    Sat Nav

It is a bit slow setting it up with the destination address, but works OK generally. Of course, the phone is the alternative...

    In Praise of the ZS

No moans about my 3+y/o ZS EV. For £23,500, a brand-new car, it was a steal. Lovely car to drive...:)

    400 mile day....

Thanks for comments. These new 150kW chargers are pretty cool Max charge was about 54kW , as my 3-year-old MG is getting a little dated now.

    400 mile day....

From Swansea to Northampton, and return , some 400 miles, in my ZS EV Mk 1 80% on motorways and dual carriageways, not the most economical driving. Speed between 65 and 70 mph. With stops and business at the other end, a 12 hour day..:( Recharging Network was great. Leaving home with an 80%...

The absolute joy that is rapid charging with ZS Mk2 Standard Range!

Well, I enjoy driving my Mk1 ZS EV. Enough gadgets to use, and as I charge at home, and am retired, it provides very economical driving. And my last but one car was a Mazda RX8, a supercar, but 25p per mile takes some of the smile off your face...:D

    Reverse camera IQ

On my three year old MG ZS EV, mk1, the image quality on the reversing camera is rubbish. I am comparing it against the MG HS in Oz, which I recently had a ride in. That has very good IQ, and also had a 3D image of the car and surroundings... I don't expect to have the 3D, composite of three...

    Charging speed poor

FWIW, sometimes when I use a Rapid Charger, I set the Iphone stopwatch on how long it takes for a mile to be added to the range. (ZSEV Mk1) It's about 40 seconds when charging less than 80/85%. Sometimes that miles takes a bit longer, so no idea what that means in terms of the KW intake....

MG ZS EV Battery and Range indicator stuck

When you say slow charge, is that on a 7Kw or Granny charger? On a Granny charger, you may never get it to balance unless you reach 100%. and then continue with the balancing for several hours.

Thinking of buying a MG ZS EV 2020/2021

The "original" MG ZS is a great car. I bought mine in November 2020, it has performed faultlessly. As with all EV's range is the Achilles heel, but if you are retired or work from home, the occasional long journey can be planned for. My MG ZSEV mk1 has just done a trip mileage of about 650...

Parking MG ZS EV on a incline for 5 weeks

I have noticed when parking on a sharp incline, it takes a lot of power to overcome the grip of the brakes when moving off. I think your chocks idea is really good and possibly essential. In 5 weeks the brakes could /will bind up with rust etc. Which will only add to the stress when driving off...

MG ZS EV Charging via granny charger and outside socket only ?????????

Using the house wiring, and outside plugs is using the domestic system to the limit. With my first EV, a Citroen Zero, In the four years that I charged it on the granny charger, I got through several plugs, and one outside socket, through overheating. So I suggest you keep an eye on that, I...

    Chargers must be reliable.

Totally agree. A lot of the Genie Chargers are out of order, and they tend to live in the Morrisons Supermarket car parks.. Their excuse is that they can't get spare parts for them. Waste of space imho
