One thing to remember is to get the 10p rate it needs to be a scheduled charge so make sure you don’t put it on a “max charge” plug n play type charge.

Yep that was my thought. My charger uses the phone network and not wifi afaik.

Ah gotcha. Thanks for the advice. I’ll try that too. I guess I can then set the car to cut it off at 80% but set the Ohme app to try for +90%. I’ll report back!

I mean it is already set to 100%. The current state of charge is 82%. It just keeps extending and extending. I suspect it’s my homeplugs that are interrupting the signal but it’s a bummer to keep turning them all off each time. I’ll stick to night charging!

Green energy off and only one schedule set

So I tried the trick of schedule one hour for 35% and it worked out the timings and gave it 4h. However now it’s jumped and re scheduled for another 12h….

That’s is great news. My Ohme never ever is happy with doing scheduled charging during the day.

Remember it’s smart charging, so it usually charges overnight - you have to schedule it. I’ve tried in the day but it doesn’t have it. I wouldn’t describe it as ‘24/7’ but it’s a great rate at 10p! 👌🏻

Thanks. Exactly the same here. All sorted by about 2pm. I rebooted and rebooted and it just kept searching then randomly connected. Phew.

Anyone else’s charger gone offline? My Ohme 2 went offline for some reason at 4am. I can’t connect via the app. I’ve checked that there is a 4g signal near the charger, using my phone. I’ve hit reboot on the charger and it says that it can’t connect. My home wifi and broadband internet are all...

Silly Question - why do some motorway chargers advertise themselves as 150kw when you can’t even get close to that speed? Are there vehicles that can..?

Goes without saying I imagine many will be doing a charge with OVO before 1/1/23 when the rate goes from 5p to 10p..!

I can confirm that the OVO team have now backdated all of my bills and squared up my bills, as the Ohme charger wasn’t properly communicating my usage to OVO (or OVO weren’t receiving it properly). The Ohme charger always seemed to report a higher value of use than OVO reported. As Nasty said...

Yup. They claim to be talking to ovo about it.

Yup it’s every 30 mins. It may be the comms between Ohme and ovo but the Ohme app reports a charge of say 30kwh and the ovo app records 30kwh but it seems to struggle to differentiate it between domestic use and EV use.
