My Trophy ER has never been near the dealer since collecting it last November ... so far. And I am hesitant about ever taking it back to them, to be frank, as not at all a good buying experience.
But I've just checked the originally-installed and unaltered versions and these are:
Infotainment...
Tried again to open iSmart this morning but, although when I opened the phone it said, as usual, 'MG iSmart has been running in the background', the other equally usual 'remote control instruction failed, try again later' message came up. So, did it go to sleep again or didn't it - with two...
Indeed ... let sleeping dogs lie (or just keep lying?!) perhaps? And I think I must have read most of the posts on the subject, where I found there are an equal number who say that there is no way the battery can become drained through the app use!
In fairness, I don't think I suggested that I...
I find that sometimes it works after several tries, but other times it won't work until I unlock the car physically with the key or button first. So I suppose it could be due to going into a 'deep sleep'.
We are soon due to leave it untouched for four weeks, so I would like to be sure to be...
As far as I am aware this is totally correct. But the issue I find often is that when I do try to contact the car through the app after not using it for several days, the app keeps telling me in a little black box: "The remote control instruction execution has failed. Try again later". Sometimes...
Just to resolve this query, I can confirm that my Emovis TAG worked perfectly on the French motorways as before - so presumably no athermic glass on my MG4 ER
That appears more than likely to me too (but, siteguru, perhaps models/software versions differ?) . My display readings seem always divisible by 4. I went round them all yesterday with my fairly good (I think) Wolf pump, which has many alternative scales, and it read completely different figures...
Thanks - and yes, I do recognise the increased accuracy of kpa over bar; it's just the inconsistency that's a trifle annoying.
But, oh! for good old psi - my 'standard' for the past 60-odd years, but that doesn't register anywhere on my car, that I can see.
Yes; I've flicked back and forth...
When I collected the car, the tyre pressure monitor showed readings in kpa. Everywhere in documentation etc., Bar readings are shown and quoted. I can so far see/find nowhere in settings or manually switching to change this 'annoyance'. I am aware that it is only a question of moving two decimal...
If it's 'stainless' steel and is made in China, it is very likely to go rusty in a short space of time. It is a sad fact but has been my experience over many years and with a wide range of products from outside lights to BBQ accessories ... or almost anything else you can name.
I’m grateful to you both for your input – thanks – and so felt I needed to look into ABRP once again. Unfortunately, though, after much experimenting today, I find I fail at the first hurdle – and that is trying to persuade it to accept the Tesla Supercharger at Eurotunnel – which would be my...
What I got was this, covering the whole screen, obliterating all top links:
... but now I don't - it opens happily ... maybe it was a brief marketing ploy? I also have Adblock Plus (5 blocked items on BI) and Malwarebytes Pro (58 blocked!) But still thanks regardless.
Yes, thanks - I should have included Google - both Maps and Earth too - which I have used quite a lot over the years; and Earth interacts well with Basecamp, so that is indeed a fall-back. I was just fishing for anything else I might have missed. NB I did try your link to see what it was, but it...
I'm working on re-planning my first long EV journey through France, and what I want to do is be able to plan my route - which I know well - to incorporate my preferred stops and chargers, without being told where else I need (but don't, in fact!) to stop. I then want to submit this to the car...
Indeed! I should have said all businesses - bigger and smaller, where 3-phase is the norm.
It certainly can add up to significance in France, where the small-town chargers mentioned tend to operate a very significant penalty of up to 0.10€/min for anything over 3 hours, sometimes taking...
... Hence my on-going confusionand frustration, which could so easily be clarified by a bit of forethought, or even plain English documentaion from MG!
But no; my understanding from all I have read and seen, is that the newer phase two (and this MG-utilised expression alone appears to have...
Sorry to raise this again after a couple of months, but I'm that far behind with a new ER Trophy ... and still trying to get my head round everything.
Am I right in assuming that you fortunate people above have the Phase One LR cars with 11kW on-board chargers, whereas my new Phase Two ER...
That's interesting to hear; it sounds very similar to mine - but I don't know if the LR is different to the ER in this area (I suspect maybe not). And I confess to not being entirely sure of the Irish specs, being (presumably) RHD, but seemingly using EU model titling?
I do rely on the tag...
