Can you use a swarco card on a CPS charger? Does anyone know?

MGZS Trophy Connect 2022 plate intermittent radio issues

Sometimes I have to rotate through the different radio source inputs to get the radio back on. Use the SRC button on the left side of the steering wheel to achieve this.

myenergi installation - car charger (zappi) and batteries (libbi)

Interesting. The payback period for me would be more like 20 years. I'm only paying £1100 per year electricity costs on the EDF 98hr cheap rate tariff and that is for 15,000 miles per year in the ZSEV and a 6 bedroom old house. I will continue to let other people own the solar and wind...

    Charging at motorway service stations

For the M4, the charge hub in Slough are great chargers, but a bit out of the way and no refreshments or toilets if the cafe is closed. These days I use Reading services as both E & W bound there are about 14 chargers or I use the 6 Ionity at Chipenham.

Android Auto - GPS Signal Lost

It's a well known recent problem with AA and Google maps and is not car related. Search the web for a few work arounds until the AA or maps is fixed. I took the opportunity to move over the Waze which does not have this problem.

Do I have to charge with 3 pin plug sometimes?

Hi Stuart. I assume that you have a MK1 ZS? If so, just reset both trip counters (a long hold on the OK button) and the reported range should return to around 163 miles at 100% charge.

Nov 17th Budget - Tax impact for EVs

The 75% figure has been shown to be a myth. A more accurate figure is around 20-25% of an ICE, based on current production. This is likely to only get better over the lifetime of the BEV as the grid get cleaner...

    Charging Woes

You will soon learn where the reliable chargers are, and where they are in clusters. For example, within 1 mile of Cribbs Causeway (Bristol) there are 18 CCS chargers. If your favourite does not work or is busy, there is always another one just around the corner.

    Charging Woes

You will soon get used to rapid charging on long trips. It takes a bit of getting used to but it is a dream now compared to 3 years ago. As Alb implies, it does take a bit of planning for your first few trips.

    Ionity Chargers on the M4

If you use your Bonnet account on Ionity it is only 50p per kWh (or less if you have a subscription).

    Vanarama Issues

I had something similar with my car order from a local dealer, not via Vanarama: I ordered on the 2nd November 21, MG said that the order date was the 18th March 22 (about 20 weeks later). After much discussion trying to get to the bottom of this, I finally found out the reason: My dealer...

Bonnet App - More Free Leccy Codes

It is a pain to lose the free codes but due to boards like this, many people were able to accumulate 10+ free charges. Using Bonnet is still cheaper for many chargers so I will be keeping the app.

Apps - RFID Cards - what do you need in 2022?

This thread from a couple of months ago gave 5 free charges - Bonnet App - More Free Leccy Codes and there have been 1 free since. If you have more than 1 phone, you can open two accounts and double up on the free charges. I think that 'FIRSTCHARGE2' is the only working freeby at the moment.

Apps - RFID Cards - what do you need in 2022?

I suspect that they are paying heavily to build a client base, by the current low cost compared to the original provider (Osprey, Ionity etc) but also by their large number of free charges. I've accumulated 7 free charges so far which has saved me around £100, but conversely has cost someone...

    Bonnet game changer ?

On zapmap, Ionity's status is not live but to the Bonnet app, it is live. 35p p kWh for Ionity sounds good to me!

Are high day rate time of use tariffs better than the variable rate?

I agree with your figures above. But, 3500 kWh of car charging is around 12,000 miles. Although 12,000 miles is my average yearly mileage, only about half of this is home charging in my case, with the remainder being at Tesco and rapids. Once the home car charging is reduced to around 1700 kWh...

    Octopus Go?

You have made a good argument for the economics of installing the 7.8kWh battery storage, but I suspect that the economics for the the 4.8kWp of solar panels is not so convincing. Assuming that, once you have time shifted all your heavy use items into the nighttime cheap rate, the 7.8kWh battery...

Bp pulse non member free charge

I have only tried to use one of the BP pulse free chargers once and as a non-member, it charged me £1.20 connection fee through the app. So the app has to be in credit

Tesla Supercharger Sites for 3rd parties

Uxbridge supercharger is at 42p / kWh so cheaper than Instavolt. Most of the other superchargers are around 60-62p. I'm itching to try it but the nearest to me is about 130 miles away.

    Off peak charging

I have oil heating and an oil aga plus wood burning stoves. Because of the aga, I don't have an electric kettle or toaster so the only daytime electric use is fridge/freezer and internet. The electric underfloor heating for the bathrooms are timed to only come on during the 98 hrs of cheap rate...
