Free electricity is free electricity...
see that 10-12 miles of range is enough to cover the trip to and from tesco with 6-8 miles left over which to me is profit and definitely worth it... I will always plug in if I can, even if for just 15 minutes as that is normally enough to cover my trip...
I know what I said... And that statement is correct... as I did say NEW plates :) if you want to be a pedant I can go all day lol.
A dealer should never need to put new plates (i.e. get them made up) onto a used car. In the event of a private plate, they should have the original plates to put...
I did say "should"... I am an owner of a cherished plate and yet somehow I always manage to put the original plates back on the car when I sell it... there will always be an edge case but it shouldn't be that way.
It should never happen on a used car in my opinion. Unless broken there should be no reason to put new number plates on the car... All that potential hassle just so the garage selling the car can put their name in tiny writing at the bottom of the plate... it's pathetic.
On the first point, it is still cheaper to get a ship to mainland europe than it is the UK, simple distance calculations can prove that point.
On the second point... You trying to tell me that there aren't already additional things that companies have to do to get goods into the UK? I have seen...
They are going to prioritise mainland Europe deliveries too as it's cheaper to deliver cars on the road than it is on a boat. Plus Brexit doesn't help with the additional customs requirements and forms... it all adds up to companies putting us at the bottom of the list because we are "harder" to...
One way to solve this... everyone reverts to using the 3-pin granny charger at home... they have no idea about that as it will just look like any other device powered from your house...
I really wish people would stop with the conspiracy theories around home chargers and also the myth that...
Service stations are ALWAYS going to be expensive for EVERYTHING. They own a monopoly on the convenience... you are there, buying something because you simply HAVE to... I no longer stop at service stations because I find everything overpriced... I factor into my long journeys a slight detour...
Believe me if I wasn't also dealing with the fact my wife's car which we bought 6 weeks ago for 20k needs nearly 3 grands worth of work doing to it from missed things that the garage didn't spot when they did their inspections then I would be a very different person dealing with MG :ROFLMAO...
I insured the vehicle based on the finance paperwork which was the same as the V5... I didn't even think to look at the cars plates until this issue yesterday.
As you all know I picked up may car last week and I had the log book come through yesterday. All is good so far.
I phoned up my dealership to enquire about software updates for the infotainment system as the radio keeps pausing itself and automatically switching over to bluetooth when nothing...
It isn't going to be free forever though... I see too many people banking on relying on free charging at supermarkets... The supermarkets are getting wise to the fact that someone might be plugged into it and not even in the supermarket. With rising energy costs, they won't be free indefinitely.
