How many mile per kWh can you get?

Now it’s a bit warmer I am getting much better range. MG ZS EV LR SE. Nov 2022. Didn’t have aircon turned on. Was doing mostly 20mph as it’s the Welsh speed limit. Can anyone beat this?

    In Praise of the ZS

It’s just missed a beat. Charged to 93% with the promise of 203 miles. Drove 3hours and 180 miles and that was too much for the battery. Even though I was showing a surplus of 40 miles of theoretical range over remaining distance, it all went Pete Tong as it got to 10% battery remaining. Car...

    In Praise of the ZS

Basically everything you have said. 34k miles in mine. It. Just. Works. Some bits are a little low-rent but it was a cheap car. Biggest gripe is lack of interior passenger lights in the back.

    Not charging on home Wallbox

What colour lights does the Wallbox show? There is an odd red/yellow one that is when there is an error. I found the number for the support line in the paperwork. It’s in Spain but they could diagnose the fault remotely. I got a brand new Wallbox swapped in by my original installers.

    New (to be) owner

I am paying £376 for 20k per year over 4 years. That was from Nov 2022 and is not salary sacrifice. Seems the lease companies are fleecing the employer if the net rates you pay are close to what external lease costs are.

I’ve had rear springs too!! At 15k miles.

iSmart 2.x merged; please use for all iSmart 2.x issues

With the new app I found that when it reset my login details it also resets your charging target to 80% health mode. But the killer is that the “scheduled charging” was also switched on. I never use that because it overrides the scheduling by Octopus Intelligent. Was trying to recharge from...

ZSEV long range 242 on 100% charge not right

In the winter you will see that range drop lower and lower. Temperature has a massive impact on the range of the car. So does running the heaters in the car as you are trading range for warmth. Same for speed. You can look at the miles per kWh display on your dashboard for an indication. In the...

    Heated mirrors

The SE does have folding mirrors. You push the mirror adjustment switch downwards to fold them in. Otherwise I could not get in and out of my driveway. The mirrors pop back out with another push down of that button. Or when you get to a certain speed. They are not heated though. There are...

    Black vs Silver - scratches

I have black, but keep it permanently filthy so you can’t see if there are scratches or dents in it.

    Locking with window open?

Thanks @Lovemyev That worked a treat. I am much relieved.

    Locking with window open?

a new development for me. When I leave the windows down a bit for the dog and I lock the car then I find the doors ARE all locked but the boot ISN’T. Even without the key on my person I can press the MG badge and open the boot. Why does that happen? There is no indication that the boot wasn’t...

    Driving in eco mode

I did Newport to Chessington yesterday. (MG ZS SE LR) Left home with 80%. Sat on M4 at 70mph using cruise and K3. However, any slowing down uses the brakes when ACC is on, so doesn’t matter what Kers mode I am in. Got to Chessington with 26% and then charged up at Ionity Cobham to get home. I...

Punctures and the MG tyre pump

Update: told MG garage about it and they replaced the pump as it was indeed faulty. Still worried how often this car attracts punctures.

Punctures and the MG tyre pump

Just wanted to canvas thoughts on how many punctures people have had since getting their MG. I had 20 years of never getting a puncture in other cars and now have replaced 3 of the MG tyres in just 9 months. Would also like views on the electric pump provided to inflate tyres. Mine blows the...

    Monthly Mileage

16k in 8 months. Including a service at 15k. My service found the car had a broken spring in suspension. Due to potholes probably. It’s being sorted for free next week.

    Locking with window open?

I often lock the car with windows left open a crack or more for the dog. When the car beeps it has always been because door not properly closed or I have left “ignition” on. It doesn’t have interior monitoring so the alarm doesn’t go off if the dog moves.

Documents you get with the CAR

I’m just over 6 months and 12k miles. The car tells me it needs a service in 3k miles. I’m just going to follow that. What does that do for my AA cover?

MG ZS Forum Member Order Tracker

I went to that dealer in Bristol in July but we just missed the cutoff for the good spec on the Trophy and there was no prediction of when delivery might occur. Good to see you got it from an August order. I am also team Black since November 22 having ordered from a lease company in July. SE...

    Monthly Mileage

I agree that Eco just turns off the heating. Not worth the compromise for about 10 miles extra range. I did some local trips this weekend and the car was showing 11miles per kWh. Dropped back to 2.8 once I hit the motorway. Charging at home on the low price window of octopus go faster is the...
