Hi everyone,
I'm just about to take collection of a 22 reg PFL MG5. I was just wondering if anyone has fitted one of these RGB interior lighting kits to theirs .....

I bought a low mileage MG5 standard range last year.
It's now due its 4th year service and I was wondering what others had paid for theirs to be done.
A dealer in Dorset has quoted me the best part of three hundred quid.
Does that seem to be the right amount?
It's just coming up to 28,000 miles...
Usually I don’t touch the auto dipping headlight function - it just works automatically.
Tonight, coming home, it seemed to have deactivated itself.
I could not reactivate it.
Is there a knack or secret switch?
After 6 weeks of owing my brand new MG5 it went into the dealers as the 12V battery wasn't charging.
On the first day they (correctly in my opinion) diagnosed a failed CCU.
Since then it's been sat there (2 weeks on Monday) apparently still waiting for MG to authorize the part...
I've tried...
Yes, as the title suggests my trusty MG5 EV of three years is getting part exchanged for a mighty Kia EV9. As I've now retired we've decided to go down to one car, and it might as well be a large one! Really looking forward to getting it tomorrow as it is such an amazing vehicle to drive. A...

Do people find that their mg 5 has more power left than indicated at low charge?
For instance charging to 100 percent from 9 percent took between 44 and 48 kWh (depending on losses). 48 delivered by Ohme so lose 10 percent ish.
My battery takes about 55 kWh once degradation is accounted for...
Had a nice half term trip to Belgium this week in the MG5. Started off with a surprisingly traffic free run across the Dartford crossing and down to Folkestone on Monday. (Monday of half term seems the best day to travel) Incredibly one of the only two rapid chargers at Folkestone services was...
Hey
So my car has been making a creaking noise going over speedbumps the past few weeks.
Got a mechanic to confirm it's the front suspension bushings that are on their way out.
Anyone know where to get replacements? Apparently they're a bit hard to find for non-MG garages?
Thanks all!
Hi everyone. Sadly, my 2020 Renault Zoe has been totalled by an elderly driver who had a mini-stroke whilst pulling out of a side road......
I've had a drive in an MG5 EV and enjoyed it (non face-lift) - one of my friend's is head over heels in love with his. Would the MG5 be a worthy choice...
I bought a MG5 Trophy in September. Having negotiated with a local dealer and bartering with a Carwow quote of £21,500 I got the car for £22,000.
Curiosity got the better of me yesterday and I revisited Carwow and was amazed to see the lowest price (same car) was now £28,500. Others were north...
Hi all!
We just took delivery of our replacement MG5 and it has a ‚bump‘ in the footwell behind the driver’s seat (right). It’s hard to capture, so I took a video.
Has anyone experienced this before or happens to know what‘s underneath? Would be nice if it’s as simple as lodging something back...
For sale. Aberdeenshire. 39k miles. I need £10995 to get out of my finance. Has been a brilliant car. Full service history. Rear tinted glass. Leasing a new VW iD7.
I have read some threads regarding seat wear in MG models. The photo below was taken from an advert on AutoTrader - the car has done 127,000 miles. Not sure of the year but it is a long range version.
Obviously I have no idea how the vehicle has been used, for example as a Taxi or just a single...
MG5 facelift 24 plate.
I would like to fit spotlights and wondered if anyone has found a supplier for suitable lights.
The headlights don't give good coverage when turning in dark lanes and I don't think just making them brighter is the answer.
I have seen adverts for spotlights to fit the the...
I am coming to the end of my 3 year lease with my pre-FL MG5 Long Range Exclusive. It has been leased though salary sacrifice. It has been used as our primary family car (we also have a 2015 Honda Cr-V) and covered 25,000 miles so far (still on original tyres and lease is up in May). I have 2...
Hi,
just checking anyone else having 'bushings' problems .. driven 54K kilometers in about a year and the car creaks like an old bed.. (dealer advised bushings needed replacement but the parts are nowhere to be found.. something in the order of weeks)
Aside from that.. Car is doing fine...
Hi all,
I'm looking to change phones mainly due to my new wireless android Auto doesn't want to play ball! So i have another that is compatible. Is it a simple task to unbind and then rebind with the new phone. I don't want to transfer all my stuff from one to the other and then cause myself a...
After 9 months of owning my 5 I have to say that the one thing that really annoys me is that when using the sat nav (car used for business journeys daily and receive a lot of phone calls when driving) and the phone rings, half of the screen is taken up by a bar at the top half of the screen...
A week ago, I made the switch from the MG5 FL to the MG4 Trophy. The main reasons for the change were the smaller size and the improved efficiency, which provides a slightly longer range.
I was slightly concerned about the smaller boot, but in reality, it’s not that much smaller. I’ll get a...
