rear undertray
A **rear undertray** is a panel or cover mounted underneath the rear section of a vehicle. It serves to:
- **Improve aerodynamics** by smoothing airflow under the car, reducing drag and lift.
- **Enhance downforce** (especially in performance vehicles) by directing air toward a rear diffuser.
- **Protect components** such as the exhaust system, suspension parts, and fuel tank from debris and road damage.
Rear undertrays are commonly found on sports cars, race cars, and modern vehicles designed for improved aerodynamic efficiency.
Noticed today that my rear undertray has a hole ripped out of it in the middle. I dint run over anything that could have done it. I’m wondering if it where the tray warps and then could have ripped due to that?
Do you think MG would replace it as it’s a known issue?
