Completely different platform, so not really a good comparison.

Be a bit like saying all the issues with the EX30 (Volvo still haven't fixed them) aren't showing up in the Polestar 2. While a better comparison would be against the Smart #1 which doesn't seem to have the same issues reported.
They both run Google automotive which is the comparison I'm making

Yeah but on vastly different hardware, on a vastly different platform.

It's like saying an iPhone 12 is just the same as a 17 because they both run iOS.

Besides, Google Automative stuff doesn't run the adaptive cruise and emergency braking. The same way the headunit software in the MG4 doesn't either.

I have never thought any of the Polestars were good value. I've looked at them when launched, but when the price came up, I thought: "for what I am getting, that's too much".
Have a look at the personal lease price in post #15 above and Mat Watsons view in the comparison test below (start at 16 minutes on for the Polestar). Not so much then perhaps? … although I agree retail prices seem high. No VED to pay either on a lease.

Still currently the best value EV on a personal lease at Leasing.com

The Single Motor one is still just too slow though, to a point where it got right on my nerves.

And as I mentioned, super murderous with it's systems.
