18" Alloy Wheels

I am thinking of removing the plastic "aero dynamic" caps on the 18" Alloy wheels. My cousin has done it to his and the wheels look much better without the plastic caps. Has anyone else done the same ?

There appears to be a lot of unsightly holes in the wheel, so I'd leave the covers on.

Yeah there are three screws

I have a S5 EV myself and was told that the plastic fins were there for aero dynamics purpose. Personally I don't think that they are that bad, but an opinion of different wheel would have been great.

I'd like to take the plastic off to give the wheels a really good clean and get rid of all the brake dust. Do you have to remove the wheels to get to the screws?

No, just give them a good firm pull.
