2 year MG ev offer for new

Is this not why they have started putting a modular battery in the mg4/5 etc so that it can be more simpley transferable or replaced
The old ZS battery was easy to replace, but MG have no interest in upgrading it.

I think even if it was offered, with the costs involved the customers would have no interest in upgrading either

Only worry is how many miles will the battery do?
We have a 13 plate Leaf which has less systems on it to protect the battery than the MG and is always charged to 100% overnight: still has >80% of original capacity and remains ideal for all but a handful of SWMBO's journeys.
Also have a 13 plate Volt with no noticeable battery loss, although large buffers at top & bottom and, like the MG, lots of active thermal management.

In short: don't worry about it.
