I found the feedback forum very interesting. The elephant ‘not’ in the room, was the fact that there was nobody there representing MG UK. Miles Robert’s did a fantastic job trying to defending them, given that the rest of the panel had quite a lot to say regarding the problems they had encountered with their MG cars.
From a customer perspectives, there is a complete disconnect between MG UK, and the dealerships, which makes life very difficult for the dealerships, due to them trying to provide an excellent service for their customers, when many are becoming increasingly frustrated.

Just to note, My partner got a brand new MG3 yesterday and it has the revving issue, so it's definitely still ongoing.

I had an MG3 Hybrid (April 2025) and experienced the over revving as described. I also found the car very noisy in the cabin. I felt like a beta tester for MG, but paying for the privilege. I also found out after I bought it about the year 4 £1000+ service fee. It was the worst car I have ever driven tbh and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. After 1 month I traded it in for a 2 year old vehicle from an established European manufacturer (for 2k less than the price or a new MG) and the difference in quality is very clear. It just works, it has 8 gears rather than 3, is relaxing to drive, has better mpg, it isn’t noisy, different class of vehicle. Wish I known this before throwing away £1000s on the MG
