Collecting my Xpower piccadilly blue on Friday.

Looking forward to the revised interior I’m sure it will be a blast.

Anyone else with the facelift ?

Enjoy the new wheels, as an owner of the previous version and now with the S6 which has a lot of similar features interiorly I can only say a good thing just got better.

Picked up ours a few days ago. Had a ‘24 plate before that, we were going to keep it, but lease company shenanigans stopped that.

Early days, but I’d say the interior is a big upgrade. That said it was already a great car and the warp drive is still very much intact

Yes it was Alphabet, guess we’re not the only ones?

Sure, firstly we tried to extend the lease, but they actually wanted to charge more per month. Their rationale for this was that initially we had paid a deposit. I explained that not only was the car new initially, but I could actually get a better lease deal elsewhere on a new vehicle, even including the deposit. They weren’t interested and would not budge.

Then things got a bit strange, in my opinion at least. We liked the car so asked for a quote to purchase. We actually agreed a price but they said as part of the purchase we had to accept them sending someone out to “check” the car. Umm, no you don’t, we’re buying it, it’s only 2 years old so doesn’t even need an mot and has a full service history. They said they wouldn’t sell it to us unless we agreed, I checked if this was some sort of legislation requirement, but it doesn’t seem to be. They came out with some utter garbage about safety and helping your warranty etc. As far as I can see this is some sort of attempt to apply extra charges and they can shove that behaviour.

So back it went

No problem

Strange thing is I leased a car from them before the mg, extended the lease and bought it at the end with no issues at all and all good deals at the time.

I wonder if they’ve got someone new in a senior position who isn’t quite the genius they think they are …

Very early days for me, I haven’t actually used it much yet. Drive seems very similar to the previous one, although you sit higher up, but that could also be an adjustment thing.

It was about 1k more than webuyanycar were offering for it, so I’d say that’s reasonable, all things considered

Having said that, if it had been 1k less .. I’d have lived with the “check”, yes my principles very much have a price

So these new X Powers, are they smooth in 'that' speed range?

Vibration felt through the steering at 60-70mph has gone.

But instead you get a low pitched hum / drone sensation, now at 45-55mph.
Certain road surfaces tend to trigger it.

Not enough to really be too bothered.

Some people would not even notice it.
