3 phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable

I bought a 3 phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable to be able to charge my car at public fast chargers . I bought 3 phase because i believed most of the public chargers are 3 phase and so it would be much more compatible with them . But yesterday i needed an extension cable to charge my car with a standard charging device given with the car from a plug of a house that has a standard 2 phase electricity. But the charger cable length wasn't enough to reach the car and i thought i may use my Type 2 to Type 2 cable as an extension but i remembered that it's 3 phase and so i couldn't be sure is it compatible with my standard charger or not . I didn't want to cause a serious damage to both charger , car or to the electric lines in the house .
Does anyone have any idea about this situation ?

If you have a look at the pins on your Type2 socket on your car are there pins in the bottom L2 L3 positions?
You really should not extend a Type2 lead.

'Standard' electricity in the UK is single phase, not 2 phase. You can't use a type 2 cable as an extension cable and sadly, as you're in the UK and you most likely have a UK spec car the 3 phase cable is probably not much use to you as you only have a single phase 6.6kW charger fitted anyhow, thus even on an 11kW charger with your cable you will still max out at 6.6kW (we get the 11kW 3 phase version in Europe). Can you perhaps return your cable and exchange it for a single phase version? (lighter and cheaper).

You can use your 3 phase cable on single phase without any problems but don't think it will work as a extension lead the plug pins are normally to short for this for safety to stop you extending you can buy extending ones but have a shorter socket to make it work

Thank you for your comments ... I will try to change it with a single phase ... I hope they will ... But just to be sure I'm asking again , if i change it with a single phase cable can i use it as an extension ?

No and keep your 3 phase no need to change it
You will need a type 2 extension cable

Just to confirm as just tried it a normally type 2 plug will not make contact with the pins on a normal type 2 cable 1 phase or 3 phase you need a type 2 extension cable which allows the pins to meet looking at it the female part of the cable has slightly longer pins
they designed like this to stop Daisy chaining

I think that the best answer is to try to avoid any extension cable if possible

But that said, I would've thought that it would be better to extend the supply lead to the charger with a heavy duty 13A lead, such as this.......

Yer I see where you are coming from but I do believe they ment standard type 2 not 2 phase ?

Sorry for my late response everyone qnd thank you for your answers ... No i didn't mean a wall charger ... I meant 13 Amp standard sockets ... And 2 phase is a mistake sorry about that ...

Additionally i would like to ask another question ... As the dealer told me the standard charger of the car is safe under rain, so it must be waterproof but i couldn't find any written information in the manual about this subject . I prefer to keep it under shelter just in case ...

Does anyone know anything about this please ? Thank you ...

It's a good idea to feel any 13A plugs after 5 or 10 minutes of charging to make sure they aren't getting too hot

If charging in the rain, put the granny on top of a house brick, cover it with one of those plastic storage containers and weigh the storage container down with another brick. The type 2 plug is fine in the rain.
