Yeah I recollect a thread showing this before and some people looked for a RHD version, but I don’t think anybody ever found one.

I wonder why it wouldn't be compatible with RHD models, the similar ones sold on Ali Express don't specify for LHD only.

If I'm reading it right, it adds to/replaces the plastic housing which contains the car's windscreen camera ... these are "handed" between the LHD and RHD models, which you can tell by the position of the triangle on the windscreen.

I doubt the quality is good enough for a dash cam anyway, you can buy the cable to take power from that sensor and then run that to the dash cam, (someone has already done that on here before) this is a much better way as you can pick whichever dashcam and if you put it up behind the mirror like I have you won't even notice it.

Yes, but the camera sits centrally in the housing, it's the housing that's offset inside the car, so the same housing should still fit a RHD car, which will simply have the housing and windscreen triangle offset to the opposite side.

Ah-ha, it just occurred to me while driving this morning, it's the mirror mounting hole that makes these only suitable for LHD vehicles.

I have a Red Tiger dashcam fitted with a rear cam. I was going to hard wire it, but have it on the DC Power outlet. Think I will keep it that way so I can pull the power when charging or waiting. Unlike ICE the car stays on and keeps recording. Would consider a wiring option which only supplies power when the Motor is engaged (or in a committed relationship) so the Parking monitor would also function.
