I've been away for a few days, and I hadn't been in the car for almost a week, so when I powered up today I was greeted by the car in her sultry voice, with "Welcome back", very nice, thank you, I thought to myself. I then reversed out of the drive and set off down the road, and again "Have a safe journey" she said.

No, what I do find clever is being able to pre heat the car from the app while eating my breakfast so that the windows are defrosted and the cabin warm and toasty on these cold mornings.

Great to give her an ad hoc message that she delivers straight to the Service Chappie/ess when the car is serviced.

Not sure If the voice can be changed to a bloke?

On reflection, I might have over reacted. Maybe, just maybe, the MG4 does behave like a sultry female...

• Only a few months after you commit to one, an improved one comes out with better features and nicer shoes.
• She may look lovely from the outside, but if you look closely underneath you may find some wrinkles.
• Despite regular pampering, she will always do unexpected things.
• You have a feeling that she tells her parents everything you do to her and everywhere you take her.
• Treat her badly and she'll return to her parents and sulk for a few weeks, sometimes a few months and in one case, 10 months.
• She likes new shoes, preferably expensive French ones.
• You need to be absolutely clear and spend time clarifying exactly what you are going to do before going out. Otherwise, you may find yourself happily going along a high street when she'll tug sharply on your left arm and pull you into the nearest boutique.
