Hi,

Has anyone find out how to access an Engineering mode, I have the MG5 2025, and below is the interface I have and the keyboard to enter the password

Bring up the telephone keypad and enter #*#4479*#* to get into "Engineering Mode’

That’s different to what I have. Keypad is as per selecting the phone symbol from 2nd Home Screen and just entering the code brings up engineering menu (doesn’t require pressing call).

What did you do originally for the box to open asking for password?

System > Tab 5 times on version number > it request password

Wondering if latest EU model of the 5 have different infotainment installed. What MPU software version are you running?

Oh, ok. Makes better sense - yours isn’t an EV. Try 1234@ABCd

It works, thank you very much @Muffler, but it only displays version information and screen and sound tests, there is no possibility of modification!!? Like to have the video while driving or modify the display size...

Glad it worked - MG doesn't tend to make these kind of options available by default and I'm not familiar with your model to know any different. I've heard of people on XDA forums trying to access the code on MG4 and make changes so you could look there if you're comfortable with that kind of thing.

If the above doesn’t work, drop a picture of your system readout to confirm model code and can have a look for you

I'm driving an MG 4 EV 2025 and I can't connect the iSmart to the car , no matter what I've tried.
I don't even have a network signal in my car.

I spoke to the importer's technical department, they referred me to an authorized garage and there they said that the version I have R38 is not suitable for the car.
The garage was not able to access the option to update the version because they could not find the correct password to enter the settings - claiming that someone had tampered with the system and perhaps also changed the password
I wasted 9 hours in the garage and still no one was able to help me
Maybe salvation will come from here
