Advice on how to approach this parking lot hit and run?

Hello fellow MG4 lovers,

As if the passenger side door dents were not enough, today we acquired a bad shiner on the driver side rear.

So, looking for advice on how to manage this?

Viofo turned out to be a £500 waste as it didn't log the event.
Is the blue-ish tinge the other car or just the under-paint primer?


I will be calling the SS Scheme company and updating them about this.


Edit: Looks like half my post was swallowed too
I also asked what is the temporary solution for protection of the metal surface till a more permanent solution is identified.

Any and all advice is appreciated.

I’d say the blue tinge is likely off the other car. Also if I’m not mistaken, that’s part of the bumper, which is plastic based I believe, so there shouldn’t be any metal to worry about

I was able to have rather similar self-inflicted damage repaired locally for about £360. This horror

became this.

However, I'm not sure how well this translates to the damage on your car.
