Having owned my MG3 for over a year now, I'm well used to using the 360deg camera for reversing. However, on turning left, (driving forward), at a roundabout a few days ago, I was quite surprised when the camera came on. What was more amazing was the view. It showed my car from an isometric near side rear corner view, the kerb as it curved away left; and the car in front of me. How does it do that? it was as if the camera was being held outside of the car! Since then I have tried to repeat this experience at the same corner, but the camera stubbornly refuses to come on. Amazing technology! Aitch

I have had that happen when indicating a turn but only occasionally, and I have no idea what triggers this.

Its a setting using the icon that is in the overhead camera screen when the cameras are on. Its called " Steer with peace of mind" or similar! It should put the screen on if stationary with indicators on. It also lowers the sound coming from your speakers while it shows up. I've decided that I've got a cameraman called Bruce who follows me around and stands in the road by the side of the car filming me....

Hi John. What do you mean by 'overhead camera screen'? Are there actually options for which view the cameras are showing, or is it a case of hit and miss? Aitch
