And so it begins... (discounts, depreciation)

Dual Motor for just over £44k at Evans Halshaw - MG Cyberster.
Not at that milage though! You can get similar with just 1k or 2k miles on them for just a few hundred more. (All are pre haggle of course, if you can negotiate well, they're probably a couple of thousand less)

I think this Winter a fair price for dual motor is around 38k to 44k. I think the Trophy is tad bit high at the moment. So the expected price by next September to see 2 year old Cybersters in the 30s is correct. Either way i expect 10-15,000 mile Cybersters to be in the high 30s with 5 year warranty remaining its a good going.

I am considering other ICE cars too but the running cost of the Cyberster theres no competition. Fiver per charge without Solar....not bad....Although whats proposed from other manufacturers are coupes (caterham, longbow, porsche, alpine are far off). No ones doing a roadster aside from Polestar and Mazda. Both not anytime soon.

The Cyberster coupe is obviously going to sit below the roadster and makes sense to be a tad cheaper too. No mention of the new Cyberster with additional colours

I nearly agree, just expect the GT to be low to mid 30's next September, not high. ;)

Just been having a look at used again over the last few weeks. The same cars seem to be kicking around for a long time, so don't seem to be selling much, but despite this the asking prices seem to be stubbornly hanging around the £42k to £44k range for 1.3 (ish) year old GT's.

Quite impressed they're still listing somewhat above £40k at this point. I suppose after a hard haggle, they're probably actually selling for around the £40k mark.

Theres a trophy for 37k im thinking this is where they'll be over summer before tanking over Winter. Only 2 years in. Ive seen that some owners have traded in. Ill look when im back in April. Although I now tempted by an Emira lol

Dual motors are mostly sitting at 45k. I saw some dealers selling 100 mile cars for 49k. The 74 plates are valuable due to road tax i guess

Road tax was only for the first year - we now have to pay it. (I’ve just paid mine).

Did you mean the luxury car tax that didn’t apply to 74 plates?

I feel for those trading in, at £40,000 sell price the trade in must be near half of what they paid for the car.

The older cars do seem to be stubbornly sitting around at above 40k. Not selling much though, so it's an act of gravity defiance, once the 40k barrier gets broken, they all have to fall to below this pretty soon.

I'm getting fed up of waiting too and having seen a couple driving around here, not so sure they do it for me anymore at this point. Think I might concentrate on my classic car collection and add another to that instead, as I like my early forever car classics much more than what daily I'm driving for just a few years.

It will be the luxury tax, it's a horrible (not so!) little extra cost each year until the car is 5 years old.
