Android auto update

Is this true, it is possible to update Android auto in mg hs cars? Apparently it is possible to download a file and upload it to the car...(?) Any idea?

Android Auto is installed on the phone, not the car, so updates on the phone as required (usually automatically). The car simply provides an extended display.

Correct. Android auto works with my phone, however my wife's older phone drops the connection every couple of seconds/minutes. Ok, phone is 4 years old, but everything up to date etc.
