Annoying beeps

The problem with the MG3 is that the warning beep is the same for several different problems (not wearing a seatbelt, exceeding the speed limit, etc.).

It would be nice to have different sounds.

The speed cam one is the loudest on mine all others I've got set lower..

I think it's a long way down from a Kia EV (assuming it's the full EV version) to a hybrid, dealing with petrol and oil changes etc. Just my personal opinion.
Yeh I started with a Niro Hybrid so I'm good thanks 👍

I found the dinner gong was due to the car recognising it was in a hazard area from the satnav this is what the dealer told me. Turned off in satnav and hey presto it no longer bongs. It a totally different alarm to the warning chime hope this helps

Dinner gong is speed camera warning

I bough my car in June 2025 and a week after the noise happened (beeping). I took to service for the 1st 1000km then they said nothing wrong, maybe overspeed limit but the fact is not. It just came for no overspeed limit or changing lane….
So annoying while you’re driving and it keeps beeping for no reason showing on dashboard screen. After reading all of your comments I just turned of Alert in navigation setting and will see how it works if not I have to take it to MG again to solve out that trouble or looking for return the car.

Those beeps will be cured by going into sat nav settings, warnings, and switching ALL alerts to visual only. The beeps will sound even if nowhere near cameras if you are even on a road with them. Some of the beeps will be because you are in urban areas, near schools, dangerous areas, etc etc. Turn them all off.

The driver alert sensitivity can be adjusted within the main settings screen, where you can adjust lane guidance and other such settings. Its towards the bottom of the screen.

Not quite sure which 'beeps' you are referring to here. I think you may be hearing the fairly loud, and higher pitched, beep that is warning you about the latest HADECS 3 cameras, and not the excess speed warning which is adjustable. This stands for Highways Agency Digital Enforcement Camera System 3, generally installed on motorways (pole or gantry), and painted grey. They are smart, and detect you approaching, as opposed to the old systems which detected you when you pass (very often causing people to slam on their brakes!) Often deployed in variable speed zones. The beeps will start approx 30 seconds before you reach the camera, and cease immediately after you pass it. I have just covered 200 mls of motorway driving and very much appreciate the warnings as we all give the occasional 'squirt on the gas' without even realising it!
