Apple Car Won't Connect After Returning to Car

My new 2026 Xpower fails to connect to wireless car play when I get back in. I have to remove all entries from my phone and the car and pair it up again before it will work again.

Does any one else have this problem or has found a solution?

I have an intermittent problem with CarPlay not connecting to my Premium. No amount of sitting in the car and unpairing /pairing and restarting phone and infotainment system has helped. Then miraculously the next time I use the car it connects without problem. I’m wondering if a quick fix might be to exit the car, lock it and wait a moment before unlocking and sitting in the car.

Just get a car play dongle from Amazon, connects 100% of the time.

I've found the same with Android Auto.
It also won't connect unless the phone is unlocked, even when wired.

Does anyone not have a problem with either?
